Facebook page - rant warning

I appreciate that there's very little Supercell can or would want to do about this, but I need to get it off my chest.

What is wrong with people?

OK I'll elaborate... Every post that Supercell make is followed by 1.2 million people writing "Add me!!" and about 4 people actually responding to the topic. I don't even bother opening the comments any more, because you can't find anything useful or interesting.

I just want to write "Why? Why should I add you? Do you really think I want to add a complete stranger with a sheep mentality and no real concept of "on-topic" as a friend on facebook, just so that I can get a thirtieth of a new RSS slot???"

Velcro, funny thing is I used to add those ppl that have the farm names as "Add me GC: (their name)". Now I have a farm with over 400 friends and 300 of the barely if ever play their game or help my farm. Only problem is I can't figure out a good system to rate my GC friends and wish someone had given me your good advice back then.

Kudos my friend for one of the best thread rants I've seen in a long time. My hat is off to you.

Another one I love is where you post no random friend requests above your GC name and some moron send you a friend request like you are going to approve them. Did their parents not teach them that No means NO!?

Oh I know what you mean. I keep getting friend requests to my old farm even though I took the GC name of it off my signature and told Game Center to not allow invites. I am slowly stopping play on it as it is on my old and very slow iPad. And when all you see on the Facebook acct. is the constant add me's you get the feeling those folks have no opinion about anything.

LOL, thats why I dont go to the fb page that often.

And some of those "Add me" FB comments come with a screenshot of tons of EMs. I've been wondering if those ppl really sell those to their GC friends on regular basis...

I just wanted to say Hi to you , where have you been ? We've missed you, well I won't speak for everyone ( as I'm not allowed ) .... I've missed you. 😍

HA! so true on the above posts. Im a little incensed especially when the Monthly Accolades for the forum contributors are bombarded with such "Add Me's", but i guess we have no control of that. People do what they want to do. and speaking of Monthly Accolades, (veering a little off-topic here), anyone got a complete list of members who were given recognition? i think someone might have to do a complete list here on this forum someday so we can just watch with awe the awesome members of Supercell Hay Day, rather than see them members just get drowned with "Add Me's" on Facebook page.

I've noticed the same thing, Velcro! It just seems so...desperate!

I'm sure a lot of those people who visit the FB page do not come here to the forums, so this may be the only way they have to add friends, as opposed to us getting to know each other via the forums. However, every so often, HD does post asking people if they would like more friends and, if so, they can respond to THAT post with their game info.

Before we got the diamond confirmation, posts asking/pushing for it were also included in those HD posts, along with the "add me" posts.
