New idea for interclan battling!
So Clash of Clans has been great so far. It is probably the most addicting game I have ever played. You get to build, strategize, team up and attack other people and perfect your skills and village layout. You even get to play with your friends! Kind of.....
After clanning for a couple months and being in a clan with a few of my close friends, we have become pretty competitive, trying to build the best village and army. However, there is no real way, other than speculation, to find out who is actually the best. Sure we can attack other peoples villages that who we don't know, but that's not the same.
My proposal to supercell is to create a mode where members of the same clan can "bet" a portion of their gold/elixir/dark elixir that the other member cannot raid their village. So it would essentially be a privately set up raid (1 members attack vs 1 members defense) to see if clan members can beat and destroy their fellow members villages. So for example, I say to my friend Dylan, I bet you 100 gold and 100 elixir to raid my village. This 100 gold and 100 elixir will be similar to the total amount you can steal from a village in regular battle and the battle will proceed like any normal battle.
This will benefit clan members in two ways. One being that they can battle against their friends, something that clash of clans is missing. Also, different base layouts can be tested to see which is an optimal layout.
I can see how this could turn into giving/transferring funds from one member to another by placing storage a in the open, so a cap or maximum bet could be enforced to prevent this.
Tell me what you think! I wanna destroy my friends villages and rub it in their face!!
Infrastructure for interclan / mock attacks is already here!!
I love the idea of mock attacks, even before clan wars came out. Now with the update of clan wars, the ability to have mock attacks on other members of your own clan should be simple. I only disagree with the exchange of loot. Supercell would never go for that.
I think the best way to have mock attacks, would be to always keep the "war map" available, even when not involved in a war. Its already setup, so being able to see it all the time, shouldn't be hard. And when on the map, you can "scout" bases of your own clan. Why not just add an "attack" button? No loot or trophies available to win. Its purely just for bragging rights, or to optimize base designs. Not to mention, just fun to spare with friends. The attacks would work just like they do during a clan war, you're only attacking your own members, except no loot. Saving replays may be an issue for Supercell, being more space needed on servers and such, but saving replays would be very important, but you could limit replays to one per base or something and save for a certain amount of time. Even if i had to spend the elixer to make my own troops, i would do it. Supercell would benefit, because it would keep people engaged. It would make another aspect to an already very addicting game. Clan wars has been a great addition, in my opinion. I believe clan wars has already opened the door to mock attacks. Just hope to see them take advantage of it.
Even put a time limit, for example, you are only able to mock attack every 12 hours or something. Whatever the stipulations are, i don't think there should be any loot rewards involved at all, but i think the fun factor would go way up!
I really see see this as an update in the furture. The clan wars just seems to be such a nice segway into mock attacks. I really hope that supercell has thought about that aspect, and allows that soon. So many good things about it. EVERYONE would benefit, including Supercell!
