I need help pushing to masterIII. I'm a th9 with th8 troops and I dont know how I am going to make it. I need help and tips to make it as I tried this before at th7 and capped out at 2569. I can't get past 2400 now due to this clan wars update. I don't know how farther I can go.

Clan Wars has made it harder doing the typical sniping but there are still a few TH outside.
When I pushed to Masters it was mostly with quick build BAM and 3 lightnings to zap gold but i was TH 6 and 7.
With your troop power I would think the bigger thing for you to try is only raid twice a day about 10 hours apart and for at least an hour. Then you are on defense only twice a day, your collectors can help supply gold, and you should be able to creep up in the ranks over time by gaining back what you lose on defense during those 2 sessions a day.
Get our troops to TH9 level then try is my recommendation.

Trick: Stick your TH out, that way you can revenge premies, TH8s, lower, and get possible 40-58 trophies available
You need to max out your troops, such as barbarians, archers, goblins, etc. Also, maxed out spells do a lot of damge, so be sure to upgrade those!!
Honestly, I'm not even high in the leagues, I'm farming. But I suggest upgrading your dark barracks and using dark troops such as Golems, Witches, and Hogriders.
For HogRiders: Use Healing Spells
For Witches, and Golems: Use Jumping / Raging Spells
Don't forget to use your heroes! The higher the heroes are, the more damage they can do to the opponent's defenses.
If you want to use regular barrack troops, I suggest the dragons.
