How to REALLY play the game?

*Forgive me if this is in the wrong section, I am new to these forums.*

I play a game called Battle Nations which is not all that similar to CoC (much better and more of a complex game but VERY, VERY time consuming). Anyway, many people in my clan in that game and in real life played Clash of clans so I decided to try it out. That was almost a year ago, and since then I have been playing casually, usually not raiding very much and not logging on more than once every few days. I knew from my experience in Battle Nations that it was never a good idea to rush leveling without taking the time to max out my stuff, so I have been doing that slowly and steadily. I just now finally maxed my th7 completely and am ready to move on to town hall 8, but I need some advice.

- I have 3 builders, is it really a good idea to spend $20 and get 5?
- I have trouble finding loot and getting to it if its inside the base, what is a good farming army and trophy range once I get to th8?
- Walls are a pain, how should I quickly farm gold? (do you search for hours for the huge raids or do you go for collectors?)
- Should I continue to max everything out before progressing to the next th level?

Any help answering these questions and any advice you think I need would be appreciated, thanks!

1. 5 builders would be awesome but as you said you are not much of an active guy then i guess you should not waste your money on those.

2.If you ARE really max th7 then:
1500-1700 FOR DE
1350 - 1500 FOR GOLD AND ELIXIR

3.If you are max th7 then your collectors must be maxed...cuz they help a lot in other cases its just farm and next and farm as much as you can.

4.ALways Max everything before moving up...

If you're raiding casually I don't think you'll find the fifth builder much help. The fourth one might be an option. As a th8 you can farm all over the place. I used to hang out around silver1 or gold3. The most efficient army compositions will be BAM (barbs archers and minions) or Barch (barbs and archers). Those are great for farming especially when you use a couple of wallbreakers beside them. What you want to do, is to go after full collectors and easy to reach storages. If you want those juicy well defended storages you might want to use the giant-healer combo (chief pat made a great vid about it). Somewhere between 12 and 16 giants, 1 or 2 healers and the rest barbs, archers and gobs. Maxing out is the best thing you can do.

edit: if you play the game as it should be played, you might want to do some trophy hunting now and then.
