State Rankings?

State Rankings?

Could individual rankings for each state ever occur? Start with the larger countries and then move into the smaller ones? The way i see it is that this could present a glimmer of hope for those of us that will never make the top 200 for their country?

A large majority do... Some countries the country ranking is basically a state ranking because its so small so nothing would be changing anyway...

I agree with this statement except for the part saying largest countries. Canada is the 2nd largest and doesn't have states. I believe Russia doesn't either.

To the OP:
Technically a country is a state, hence head of state being used for a president, king/queen, pm, dictator, etc. Yes technically speaking each state in the U.S.A. is its own country. Considering countries are states, we already have state rankings. :P

Please realize that this is a world wide game, and the developers have to consider all who play the game.

There aren't necessarily states in all other countries, the way America has it...

Wow, some really enjoy missing the point of the OP and choose to jump all over again and again over the misunderstanding of the word 'state'. Surely you all can understand what is being suggested, even if 'state' may not be the best choice of words?

As it is now, it is only by Country. However, some states/provinces/parishes/subdivisions of countries have 100 times more players than entire other countries. As such, for example, a 'top 200 of Local: US' is about as meaningless as the 'Top 200: Global' for most of the players, as there is just too many players in that 'Local'.

I dont think this is a good idea, it just seems odd. This might make sense for big countries like USA or China, but that's about it.

I, for example, live in Schleswig-Holstein, a small state in germany, and it would be pretty pointless to have a local leaderboard for that.

Cant really explain it that good, i just feel like Country leaderboards are better :)

I highly doubt this idea will even get close to the management circle...
It would take too much and efforts to get it half way considering the political issues of nowadays (Ukraine? Spain?..) and that some countries are not ruled on states.
All of this only to get a minor improvement... Too much brainstorming and headaches for so little imo.

This would cause a lot of issues because most countries aren't divided into states/provinces.

Well, I think most countries do, it's probably just called something different, here in the UK we call them counties.

But... I still don't like the idea :rolleyes:
