LVL 5 Hogs or LVL 2 Witch for farming Gold 2

Hello! I'm currently farming at Gold 2 to max my TH9 base, I use a normal army setup of 12 giants, 1 healer, 4 wizards (that are queued to train while i raid) 20 barbs, 12 Wall Breakers and 66 Archers to get all rich, medium to high level guys farming down here. But lately I have started using 8 Giants instead of 12 and take up the freed up spots with either 4 Hogs OR 2 Witches, because they have been useful when I meet rich high level bases.

The problem is that I don't really know what helps me best of the two. My LVL 4 Hogs upgrade is done in 1 day and 19 hours and I have 70k DE.

So my question is: What would you upgrade? Hogs to LVL 5 or Witches to LVL 2?

I don't know how big of an upgrade it is to gain 2 more skeletons, 25 health and 5 dps on the Witch. It doesn't seem to much when you use a few Witches. But I'm suspecting that I'm wrong because of the cost of their upgrade and that they have no higher level.

From what I've read, upgrading the witch is very important. However many witch strategies require strong heroes as well since they are used in higher tier raiding. I would personally upgrade hogs to 5 because you can 3 star max TH9s with max hogs fairly easily.

Along with maxed hogs, it is very helpful to have maxed heal spells as well.

Ok thx. Who do you think is better when I'm just using a few of them with my regular army? 4x LvL5 Hogs or 2x LvL2 Witches?

I would choose C- don't do either and use the DE on heroes.

Thanks for your opinion. But I think the Heroes are fine with their current level (5) at Gold 2. Both of them got their abilities and I don't want to increase their regeneration time.

hum.. no..
I think heroes should be a priority. what exactly are you farming ?
cause gold/elixir farming is much more efficient with BARCH.
DE farming can be efficient with hogs, but I'm not sure about wiches.

dumb question: do you have your DE drills maxed ? TH9 drills maxed @ 5k/day should be good enough to get both heroes to lvl10 in one or two months

Mostly gold. Currently I am upgrading 3x Wizard Towers to lvl 7 (one is already done) 1x X-bow to lvl 3 and 1x Tesla to lvl 4. I am planning to stop farming gold when I got all Teslas to lvl 6 (one-shots archers) or 7 and my my other X-Bow is 3 (it's 2 now, will start that upgrade when the other one is done in 11 days) and my CC is 5 (getting more resources than it can hold every war which we constantly wage).

The bases with alot of gold down here are often TH9-10 with lvl 7-8 Walls. So I have a hard time believing BARCH would work, especially when I have to use all tricks I know to win gold from these bases with this relatively cheap army.

I get the DE just by farming those bases, don't have any trouble finding that (I get too much), but I can't stack normal elixir when I want these expensive gold upgrades fast (If I find someone with 200k gold and 10k Elixir I will raid him). So it's hard to upgrade my DE Drills (which are currently level 4, both of them).

If you place the witches properly, you will get a lot more out of them because of the endless skeletons. The hogs would only be useful in taking out a fairly exposed defense or two. If you really want to use dark elixir while farming, I'd suggest some minions.
