Calling out the users of mass drag

Mass dragon is too expensive to use for farming, so I only use on Clan Wars or a rare revenge situation. To 3-star the base you need to be able to take out the air defenses easily, so if their air defenses are super D-ed up (behind too many layers of walls or otherwise defended) then the strat won't work. So I look for a base that has air defenses that can be relatively easily taken out or overwhelmed by the dragons.

First and ALWAYS successfully pull the clan castle and kill it. A pack of wizards or even archers will crush mass dragon attack. So learn how to deal with the CC first. Once that's done then send in some giants or hogs to take out the air defense (presuming that they are relatively undefended and can be quickly killed -- can't waste tons of time on it or the dragons won't have time to 3-star him). I've resorted to triple lightning on an air defense that was super D-ed up but that's a rare case and wont usually work because that only handles one air defense and uses too many spells. I like to use rage spells and one heal spell with mass dragon.

OR... if the air defenses are low level and near the edge of the base, you can get away with using the dragons themselves to kill the air defense, but its risky because dragons have no priority and can easily go chasing a row of pumps/mines while the air defenses are just raping your birds (I've seen it happen!).

Lastly, don't drop all your dragons on the same spot (i.e. don't hold down your finger). Drop two on one spot, then two more next to them, then two more next to them. So its a row of dragons but two at a time rather than all at one spot. The reason is that they'll all attack in unison so you'll have 6 dragons bearing down on one canon (for example), but it only needs two dragons to kill it, so the other 4 are wasting their attacks on a thing that's already dead. (BTW this goes for wizards too; a pile of wizards on one spot will act in unison and waste their attacks, plus they are more vulnerable to AEO attacks from mortars or Wizard towers etc.)

For level 4 Dragons I'd recommend looking for level 6 or below air defense. Obviously if this isn't Clan Wars once you reach a certain cup range you can't look for that anymore. Then you just gotta take what you can get and look for bases with easy townhalls or uncovered areas. Or at least easy to get at air defense.

12 maxed drags 5 rage spells anything level 7 or under. Also inferno towers xbows nothing really matters if you have cleared a path for your drags so they don't pull a pekka on you. As for the rage drop them slightly in front of the drags to cover the entire area you wish destroyed.

Doesnt matter what level the ADs are. Just look for down Xbows. If your heres are maxed you can do stuff like this.

I have been able to 2 star maxed TH10s in CW with this strategy without hereos.

Lighting an AD, use CC loons to destroy another AD with a rage, then deploy 8 drags in a line on a side of the base with no AD.

After it is clear, rage 4 drags on the core.

I have used lvl 3 drags for DE farming. What I like to do with them is to have 20 barbs and 20 archers to first take out buildings outside walls and CC troops and then I can deploy the drags one step closer to DE storage. An important thing when farming DE with drags is not to deploy all of them in the beginning but for example 6 out of 8 drags and then use those two as DE homing missiles if the others miss DE which is usually in the middle of the base. Rage+drags go hand in hand and my preference on AD is lvl 6 max but then again, I am not aiming for 2-3 stars, just for the DE. Oh yes, I also prefer to deploy the drags on the side where there is an active AD instead of the side where there is an AD under construction. I feel that I get a better chance this way since I get two ADs out of action instead of just one and others shooting at my overgrown bats.

Air Def level does not matter. 3x lightning take out one AD. use CC and if need be heroes to take out 2nd exposed AD.

Preferably from the side that first couple drags will lure queen and CC. They will kill CC and queen without much effort. Drop minimal drags to pick off buildings so as to clear path to base core. Once path to core is cleared drop last 5-6 drags in clump. They will track to core. drop rage. drop 2nd rage if needed. Done. 2* on a max base. lucky and maybe a 3 star. Usually can save heroes for cleanup phase as well. Unless needed to help take out a second AD

I only mass drag during CW, and when I do, I look for only one AD that isn't vulnerable to hogs/archers. I take those out, then triple zap the protected one, then unleash the dragons and receive three stars. Have never farmed with this for obvious reasons.

Not likely. A CC full of max wizards will destroy your dragons. Pull and kill the CC first to be safe.

Eh, can't say I agree with that. Xbows even at lvl 3 are not an effective tool against dragons. I have to go with greater range all day. If you're at th9 your air defense plus air mines should be enough to thwart a dragon attack.

However, I do tilt mine up in a war so people won't even think about raiding me from the air.. even though it intimidates more than it would actually stop them.
