You want them... to be able to steal you : (i'll keep things simple)
2*20/100 = 400k max, instead of 400*0.25 = 100k ?

You're thinking on what the loot penalty prevent you to do ... but not from what it protect you.

First of all, your th 7; starting at upgrading your th to level 7, there is a small warning telling you that if you upgrade your th, you will recieve less loot from lower th's.

Second of all, you're a gemmer. No sympathy there.

Third, noobs will be constantly attacked if loot penalty is decreased.

Fourth, gettingrid of loot penalty will worsen the problem of darkelixir zapping.

It was added for a reason. We cant have TH10s slaughtering TH7s if there was no loot penalty. Despite matchmaking being from trophies, the TH loot penalty is the one thing giving some sort of balance

It wont, they removed the TH bonus to reduce zapping so its just lower TH penalty now

Lol guys this is the answer! I personally max my base before I upgrade my townhall but I have seen many people not even know what a loot penalty is and upgrade to th10 then hate the game because it's so hard to progress. Not everyone is as into this game as we are and don't know about such penalties and are quitting the game due to their premature upgrading. But levels is much better. If a max townhall 9 were to knowingly attack a th 4 with no penalty (th4 is around the stage where you start getting decent amounts of loot but still don't have many walls to protect your storage) a th9 could use about ten troops a raid and still three star the guy for good loot! That would make the game suck for new players! A penalty is a good idea, but by level seems smarter than by townhall.

This isnt the answer, in fact its a terrible idea.

What would happen if this idea were to be implemented is the following:

Everyone would rush to TH10 and max troops only, they wouldnt max any defences because this increases XP.

Nobody would donate as this increases their XP.

Why should things be changed to to accomodate people who cant understand the fundementals of the game. I prefer the Darwinism approah of allowing these people to quit.

I think I saw that when I was moving to a six or seven, I am not sure. But ever since then I had the idea it was best to max everything before moving on.. Why? Because I do not want to be a "fake town hall nine or whatever" that still has the attack power of a town hall six with the loot penalty of a ten.

So why do it if the game warns you?

Other then that I have no idea what you are trying to say with this theory.

If you rush town hall say you are a six and rush to seven, not only do you have to still upgrade your troops that you would had to as a six but you got to do seven on top of that. So you are basically attacking at a town hall six force under a town hall seven penalty, that is why i did not do it, I felt the game made it obvious it was a bad idea? what is so attractive of rushing town halls? I still do not understand

People do dumb things all the time that they are warned against. The answer is they like short term gratification and either don't care about or fully understand the long term ramifications. It's the same reason people smoke, eat fast food, and do many other things that are bad for them.

You'd think tobacco companies would go under, yet more teenagers start smoking every day.
