Decrease or remove town hall loot penalty

Supercell, as you probably know if you raid someone who has a lower town hall level than you you can't as much of the resources because of the town hall loot penalty. Could you please decrease or remove (remove preferably) the town hall loot penalty? My two reasons are it's not easy to get resources if you gemmed your way to townhall level 7 and you should feel the pain of losing resources more.

I feel that Supercell has designed this part of the game PERFECTLY already.

If you have gemmed your base to TH7 and are struggling to get resources, then:

a) you should continue gemming your lab upgrades and army camps so that you can strengthen your raiding army, or

b) do nothing and just live with it, because this is the game's way of teaching you a lesson that gemming isn't the best idea, because for your lack patience, you skipped over a valuable lesson of learning how to properly raid in order to gain resources. Gems should be used to enhance your progression of the game (such as 4th and 5th builder huts, and barrack and spell boosts), not to teach you how to run before you learn how to walk.

Of course, they are your gems that you purchased and you can do with them whatever you like. I am just stating that there are consequences to improper use of gems and you learned this the hard way. Supercell shouldn't have to change a properly functioning game mechanic to accommodate for your impatient gemming strategy when it works well for the majority of players.

What complete and utter nonsense. Your first point was valid. To imply that the game should punish you for spending money is ludicrous.

Gems should be used to enhance whatever part of the game you want to enhance. If that means your TH then so be it.

To the OP, the penalty isn't going anywhere. Fortunately you're only TH7. It's quite easy to recover from this. Some people gem to th 10 and that's pretty much game breaking.

But dahimi, if you look at the number of threads opened about how people installed the game, got hooked, then bought gems to get to TH10 just so they could have all the cool new toys not knowing about loot penalties and such, then you would surely lose count very quickly.

By this evidence, the game already punishes these players for spending money and COUNTLESS players have quit the game after dumping a good amount of money into it because the grind to recover from a severely premature TH10 was just too difficult. However, I don't think removing loot penalty is the solution for this, it should just be a bit more in-game education to the player of loot penalties and the consequences of upgrading multiple TH levels prematurely. I believe SC has already implemented a pop-up message warning players before they start a TH upgrade, so that was a smart move by SC.

Yes, I made an edit to my first post regarding this, I must have been typing it when you were typing your response. I agree with you.

Instead of town hall loot penalty, maybe a level loot penalty? Like if a level 100 attacked a level 50, big loot penalty?

It doesn't do it because "they want to teach you a lesson...for your lack of patience".

The penalty is a necessity, but unfortunately causes issues for those who rush TH upgrades either with or without gems.

If you think Farming at TH07 is a challenge then wait till you get to TH10.

No. Level is a terrible indicator for this. This unfairly punishes people who donate a lot. Furthermore people could upgrade only offensive structures and troops (troop upgrades don't add exp) and gain a massively unfair advantage.

No kidding. I keep telling my other clan mates not to rush town hall upgrades. I believe all buildings should be maxed out before upgrading the town hall. Or take it to the next level, max all the walls as well.

I think its a fantastic idea.

As a maxed out TH10 Id love nothing more than busting TH7s for all their loot.
