Trophie Range - Loot

Hi guys, I'm TH8 .. What trophy range should I be looking in?

i was told I should be somewhere around 1400-1700. But I've been sitting around 1400 for a couple of days and the loot is terrible. I find myself clicking next for 15 minutes or more, only to get bored and attack someone for very few resources.

Ive mostly been using a BARCH strategy for farming. Back in the 1100 range I was regularly finding bases of 400k+ total loot, easy to get to with BARCH. On occasion I've found 800k+ But now I'm over 1400 I'm rarely finding anywhere that has more than 100k, and those that do have it in storage surrounded by level 6-7 walls and upgraded defences.

Does it it get better than this? .. Or should I drop back down?

From personal experience I find the best loot in 1480-1540 range

I'll keep pushing forward then but so far it's poor and hard to get "/

Can someone explain what kind of loot and bases I'd find in the upper 1400-1700 range?

I run a basic BARCH strategy for farming. I'm looking for 400k+ total resources. All or mostly in mines and pumps which are very easy to get to. Generally people who aren't particularly active.

So far in the upper 1400 range the vast majority of bases are below 200k total resources (with a very large amount being below 100k total). And those that do have a decent amount are all well secured in centre storage surrounded by defences, walls and everything that basically make a BARCH strategy pointless.

I just spent 15 mins clicking next and eventually got fed up and settled on a base where I got 26k resources "/ It's that poor.

Seriously guys, what should I expect to find if I go higher? Cos at the moment I'm seriously debating dropping back down.

I am town hall 7 and I find good loot in mines and pumps at around 1275 trophy's. I used to be up in gold league but the loot was terrible so I slowly dropped down and have had some good success in that range. Also there are lots of low level players at that level so your resources don't get raided to much either. I use GARCH strategy and it is very succesfull. Hope this helps

Thanks, really nice post. So I'm in the right range, I just need to go up and down and just keep looking?

How long do you spend looking for a good base to raid? It just seems like it's taking me a very long time.

Okay so after about 10 minutes of nothing, I decided to write the next 20 down to give you an example of what I was getting.

These are 20 consecutive bases, nothing was added changed or taken out.

I'm generally not interested in anything much below 200k total resources (In lower range I had a much higher minimum but I've had to lower it or I'd just never have a chance).

I could have done more but it's just more of the same. Every time. Even some of the ones with less than 200k total had the loot well protected in the storage. With a BARCH strategy it's basically impossible. There comes a point where you get bored and give up ... And do something like this.

The loot I was getting in a lower range seemed to be generally from inactive players that were letting their pumps and mines fill before collecting them. This range seems to be full of active players that regularly collect and upgrade their defences.

Are these results similar to what other people are getting? Do you just hang around for ages and wait for that one base worth raiding or do you settle for the ones with low loot? I just can't work out why it's so bad.

I'm gonna hang around this range for another day or two but if it doesn't get any better I'm going to have to drop back down "/
