IMO balloons. They can be used to farm in CII+ and wreck with balloonian. Giants also get a big buff but arent really used too often IMO
I say giants they are awesome so much more health than lvl5
And they train in only 2 minutes
Go with balloons! They make a really fun overnight army, and will still work even with lvl 3 minions :)
Giants with healer op
It depends on how you raid, but in general I'd say the majority of people should get giants first. They're better for most people's farming tactics. Is balloonion fun? Yes, much more fun than giants. But, you're going to probably bleed elixer and dark elixer every time you raid until you get good with them. And that's not good for an early TH9 trying to save for troop and hero upgrades.Quote:

Where as the B'loons while they get a large boost from lvl 5-to-6 as well; they train in 8 min EACH!!! and are VERY SLOW, yet powerful when backed with Minions or Dragons.
I find that to be effective I need 20-28. I usually take 24 and 50 Minions (lvl5) to maintain winning in Crystal 2 or 1. (plus almost always require a heal or a rage spell or two, to compensate for the slow rate of speed)
If your minions were on the way to lvl5 I would say to do the B'loons, but yours are only lvl3. So I think Giants will get you more bang for the buck in the meantime.
I nice balanced army of ground troops is 8WB 8Giants(or 12; what I usually do) and the rest Archers (plus a few Minions)
This compo can get you into 2 layer storages most bases in Cry3 and some in Cry 2 for the win to get the bonus.

It really comes down to your style of play. Both troops get a huge boost going to level 6. If you use Giants more often than Balloons, which I regularly do, then Giants are the obvious choice. If you don't use Giants often, but do use Balloons, then Balloons are the obvious choice.
Giants lvl6 hands down. They are beast, and paired with rage and healers....nearly unstoppable. :cool:
Giants all the way. Faster cook, more effective against Infernos on multi, etc, etc.
This is a double edge: Giants are more generic and can serve more purposes, aside from getting a better improve from 5-6 than balloons do if I'm not mistaken.
However, loons, when used properly (not thrown blindly) are far superior.
Can't really tell you which one you should, since I do not know your raid style, but I would personaly go for loons.
