On track for another failed event

Just a little perspective here. Some of the items some of you are complaining about, I'd give my eye teeth for. I'd love more axes, and dynamite or TNT is lovely. Almost as good as shovels. And the guy who got screws? Well it took me two days to finally score those last ones I needed for my silo. So value is in the eye of the beholder.

Yes I enjoyed the vouchers from the last event, but if you recall we didn't make that goal so enough folks must have figured that they weren't enough to keep making cakes for. Maybe it was the timing or an un realistic goal from our standpoint but maybe from SC's standpoint, they figured that vouchers weren't attractive enough to the folks who don't post on the forum. Let's face it we are a small minority of the overall hayday playing population.

I really don't have any inside information of course but just saying. Some of the things that were given out have value to someone. I am sure some of you would have loved to have received the deeds and mallets, I just chucked into my RSS. About the only way I can see to make the small prizes more valuable is to increase their number. They can always be sold.

Oh and I just checked. Looks like we will make this one. Over a day left and we have less than five million to go.

Yes my partner finished with 5 axes, and it got 5 gold vouchers....seems a tad unfair..and now he's got the grumpies!

Well it was set over the Easter holidays.. A lot of people would be away and unable to play, which is what happened to us

I know that and you know that, but how much of a holiday is Easter in Finland. I bet the developers are more like the gang on the dark side than like us. Bet they didn't have to color eggs, and make real life carrot cake and bake for family and figure out how to do all that and go to church with the kiddies etc. just kidding. I agree with you. We didn't go anywhere this year but I know others did. Plus my kids at home did most of the work but I still cooked for three days. I can't do a marathon cooking session any more.

Wow! What an excellent reward. I would have loved it!
Read what others got... TNT's, dynamites, saws etc.
Compare those with yours.

C'mon, be satisfied with what you got. At least you will get some extra diamonds if you mine.

You are lucky that you are getting this free for the usual activity you do daily.
You are getting it for usual activites is the biggest thing whatever it be.

1. 1 Blue Voucher
2. 1 Gold Voucher
3. 2 Gold Vouchers
4. 2 Gold Vouchers

I guess I was lucky!
Don't think I'll have enough time for last goal though. (9/12) :(

I dunno, there's something that's so disappointing about getting things like saws and dynamite for the final prize. Wish they'd stick to vouchers or diamonds for the final prize at least.

The rewards are the only reason I participate in these events.
During normal daily play I get a gold voucher like every time it's Christmas AND the moon, sun and Earth are in one line.

If I put as much effort in the 5th reward as someone else and I get 5 shovels which I can get during normal play (or by trading) and someone else gets 5 gold vouchers which I can't get during normal play, nor by trading then the balance is gone.

And yes, the awards are extra, but with these rewards it's not a reason to do extra effort for the global goal.
Once I reached the global goal, which is normally reward no.1, I can stop participate from now on.

Yes the personal rewards as well as the global reward are a little bit boring. It might have been exciting at first, but I'm afraid that if those kind of rewards continue on with future events, it would all become so monotonous and boring that fewer would bother to participate and strive for the final global goal.

Edit: It's also been quite a while since the last time i received a golden voucher. Those are even rarer than the diamonds.
