Just curious how far people are gonna upgrade their TH9. I'm planning on maxing it 100%. No benefit, just satisfaction and bragging rights. ;) Gonna take a while though.

I rushed (not gemmed) my town hall 9 and am stuck with lvl 6 walls, it is not fun, but I raid well and am making up for it now.Quote:

I never planned to go beyond TH 9 in the first place, so unless TH 11 come, it 'll be max everything.

At the moment all defenses/buildings are maxed, lab is doing it's final upgrade right now [Valk 4]. Have all legos and started lavas. Both heroes closing in on lv 20 [with lightning noobs hitting my DE every friggen day...]
Original goal was all legos, max lab and lv 20 heroes. Getting close to that, now I'm thinking of doing a lava core as well.

I would really like to max it 100% but it could take a few....lots of a few months. :rolleyes: I might end up just getting my heroes to lvl 20-25 and just starting on lavas.

As a casual player here, it took me nearly 4 months just to get my walls to level 8, (after maxing everything else except heroes which I plan to get both to 15) I will do about 20% legos and will go to TH10..I will probably never ever do Lv10 walls..(seriously, I wouldnt play half a day just to upgrade 1 piece of wall), I've got better (and more fun) things to do. :rolleyes:
Curious that you don't mention the lab?
I have maxed buildings and will max lab before I go to TH9.
Not fussed on walls, and heroes will be whatever they end up on...

I'm working on my walls, still 85 legos to go. Both heroes are lvl 15, and still 56 days of upgrades in the lab (Golem 2->4 & Valks 1->4).
I won't upgrade unless my lab is finished and my heroes both lvl 20, at least.
I hope I'll have finished my legos and started lavas until then. Maybe 20 lavas of so ? Will see...
I just got to TH10 a few days ago.
At TH9 I maxed out all my defenses and was happy enough with that. I did 155 L9 walls and my patience ran out. I don't want to spend a bazillion hours farming (BORING) just to do walls that many seem to thrive on. Just not my thing. Defenses are all done and I wanted my IT so I went on up!
All my lab work was done except golem which is L3 and my heroes are low because I focused more on my de troops. Now all my TH10 de can go to heroes... although I have no desire to farm them past L15-L20 each.
All you people talkin about completely maxing TH9 I wish you luck! That's a grind that myself personally can't handle... Doing lava's for like 4-6 months would probably drive me bonkers... Kudos to all of you completely maxing... I personally maxed defenses and am 19 walls off of full legos, and am getting my heroes to lvl 15 :) Gonna be TH10 in 9 days :(

currently i have 125 skulls and 125 legos, legos will be finished no matter what before th10 lavas i hope to do but i may butt out. Heros r going to lvl 14 (AQ) and 12 (bk) they will be lvl 20 no matter what before th10 but again lvl 30 i may not do we will see. Lab upgrades de wise i have max minions and witches, hogs going to lvl 3 and lvl 1 valks and golems. Ill do hogs for sure, golems im pretty sure i will do and valks are iffy. Even if i max heros and walls lab may kill me with the time, still have 10-18d on elixir upg in there.

Maxing TH9 is completely different to maxing any hall prior it. You basically need to double your lifetime gold grab JUST to do the lavas. That is a massive committment for walls only while 3 builders constantly zzz.
I maxed my defenses before going to th 10, but I did finish all L9 walls by the time my defenses were maxed. I didn't wanna waste time farming for L10 walls. It would cost 750 million golds and if I average 6 million gold per day, it would still take about 125 days (a bit over 4 months). By that time, I'd be close to maxed th 10. And when all defenses are maxed, I could focus on walls and heroes or on new things that comes out then.
There seems to be levels to the amount people max out.
maxed - lvl 10 walls lvl 30 heros all defenses done.
typical farmer - lvl 9 walls lvl 20 heros all defenses done.
noob - lvl 7 walls all defenses done
I started my TH to 10 2 days ago. I have 75-25 lvl 7-6 walls (I have virtually no patience when it comes to walls), lvl 10 heroes, max defenses except 2 archer towers and my CC (upgrading those in the 2 weeks it takes the TH to upgrade), and a max lab except lvl 4 valks (mine are upgrading to lvl 3).
I have zero patience for grinding walls or heroes and am super excited for those infernos! They will help a lot in clan wars.
Just 3 weeks old on TH9 and I'm planning to max it all no matter how long it takes, minimum probably 6 month or more. TH10 can wait.
I maxing up hero (AQ 7 / BK10) first, elixir upgrade and mainly offensive first. Defense i just do the x-bow, now both lv2 and farming for lv3. Only have 4 lego LoL.
I'm part of the Exploitation family so at minimum full lvl9 walls and max defenses. Hopefully get lvl25ish heroes and if the urge strikes to do my Lvl10 walls I might do them as well.
I've currently got 13 walls left then i'm done for TH9...
Heroes are both at 22 but i'm not staying at TH9 with nothing to do but heroes for months.

I just maxed my TH8 including walls and 7 days more for TH9.
I am just going to max my defense and moving to TH10. I dont want to waste months in upgrading walls.
It is worth to max everything when coming for a debate, but personally I don't want to stay in TH9 for walls, when there is lot more to do in TH10.
I usually max defences but now I just upgrade when I'm bored.
I was planning on getting at least L9 walls (with max defenses of course) but, with the current loot situation, if this does persist in the long-term, I will probably just max defenses.

I;m th10 now but before i upgraded i maxed out all defenses and half my walls to lv and the rest to lv 7, i did want to max my walls but realized that most people were attacking with hogs or balloons so it wasn't really helping and i'd be better of upgrading just to get my inferno towers and extra crossbow
My plan is to completely 100% max my TH8, but for TH9 I'm going to catch my new walls up to lvl8 and max my defenses, then push to champs and farm up there - the loot is insane with all the maxed bases sitting around with full storages.
Level 9 Walls and Level 20 Heroes is my goal for now. Also planning to max. Lab (Except for Valkyries probably)

I will max full lava walls and defenses, but heros i will not max. I am starting a thread soon when i collect data and pictures off my iPad. I upgraded just one lava wall, then decided to do the rest lava. I cant resist them!
I would love to go 100% max but set the goal for full lavas and lvl20 heroes. but honestly ill keep gioing with maxing th9 untill i get bored with it :rolleyes: although 50% lavas is my minimum to move
I do walls , heroes , defenses at the same time until all defenses are maxed.
When my defenses are maxed my walls should be about 20% lv 10 and level 20 heroes.
I did previously think I would want to max the lot, but now heroes are so terribly weak I don't have the same motivation anymore.
Which means I don't want to play as much, that means I won't boost as much.

I'm struggling to stay TH9. Have about a month left of defenses. Not too concerned about heroes at this point (I like to use them for farming so I enjoy the decreased regen time) and I have lvl 7-8 walls.
I'm farming at about 2000 cups right now and I don't think there will be much downside going to 10 with regard to farming/loot penalty up here.
Add the army camp spaces, 5th spell, and 3rd DE drill - more reasons to upgrade.
Also, the idea that I can pop up two infernos and max them to lvl 3, and do some lazy farming with loonion is getting harder and harder to resist.
Defenses main reasons walls most ppl at th9 just go over them and the hero nerf will stop me from doing those super high

Upgrading all my troops & defences. I'll also upgrade as many of my walls as possible but i have given myself til September by which time i know i would have danted.... Oh yeah there's also my heroes to upgrade.
In my case, I view TH9 and Th10 essentially as the same regarding loot.
(I never attack TH8 players, there are none to be found here in C1 to M2).
I am currently upgrading to TH10. I did so after my next most expensive upgrade was 5million gold. I realised I could get an IT for that amount, which makes more sense than getting another AT level for the same price.
This only applies to people farming in High Crystal and Masters and attacking mostly TH10 bases, though.
If you rely on TH8 bases for loot and farm in a low league, it might be better to max out as much as possible.

Ive done all defense except 2 archer towers and 60 skull walls to upgrade my heroes are lvl 15 and lvl 14 my goal is to get lv 17 king and lvl 16 queen maybe i dunno might go fmore
I did all defenses except archer towers, half skull/half purple walls, and level 10 heros.
I'm a casual player now (2-3 raids per day) so I get more enjoyment out of TH10 toys than grinding the rest of TH9.
Besides the new 25 walls as a TH9, I didn't upgrade any walls, and couldn't keep 4 builders busy. Soooo... No point saying I should I have stayed :)

Level 9 walls are definitely yes. All defenses maxed are also definitely yes.
Level 10 walls? Yes. Definitely. But as soon as all of my defenses are maxed i'm going to hit TH 10. I think i'm not getting those level 11 walls. IMHO they look ridiculous, too expensive, and also took 3 wbs to break.
I am not anywhere close to this. But when I get there I think it would be smart to max out everythin and do about 1/4-1/3 Lavas.

I am making all defenses, lv15 heroes and all Legos then I upgrade and do a few lavas. The loot penalty is a huge wake up call at TH10 and I don't want to rush in not to be able to find loot.
Out of the 80 people who said 100% 60 will max all defense, maybe lvl 20 heros and lvl 9 walls, 10 will do a little more, and 10 might actually do it lol
Upgrading to ten here now. Maxed my defenses. Got walls to 8, heroes are at ten figure DE can't be too muh worse at 10 if you hang out high enough.
I did all level 9 walls and 5 level 10 walls, max defenses and level 16 of each hero. I also completely maxed lab.
I'm at lvl 15 heroes and 40ish lavas. Lost a fair bit of interest in the game so no idea how far I'll go.
After seeing how bad the loot is in TH9, and hearing how horrible it is in TH10, I'm in no rush to get there. I'd rather max every thing completely here before going up. So my goal is 100% maxed.

The manner in which SC has been treating farmers, especially the last few updates, makes me think...

Now that I have completed Legos my aim of the game is to have FUN. Do weird attacks, push to champs, then go to TH10.

I don't know if this has been brought up yet but i'm thinking of maxing the gold/elixir projects (all defenses, walls to full lego, maybe lava core)
but as for heroes... i'm thinking a 3rd lvl 6 drill will make a HUGE difference. I'm slowing way down on keeping them going (bk 10, AQ 12). I think it'll depend on how many walls i have left to do, but my thought as of now is to get them into the 15's range and then upgrade.

That means level 30 heroes, all lab troops maxed, and all lava walls. I'm really struggling to find good loot at th9 so th10 will be a nightmare.
I refuse to upgrade healers. I will never, ever, EVER use them. They take up too much space, have low hp even at max level, and heal spells are so much better.
I'm about a month away from maxing TH9 completely. Got about 51 lava walls left, my heros are already both at 30, but I have a few canons and archer towers left to upgrade. My collectors and drills are really under leveled so I may do those as well.

I will not be maxing everything. I will definitely do all defense, after that I'll grind up to at least 50:50 skulls/Legos, but after that I'll probably just go up to 10.

I was going to leave my walls at lvl 8, but i accidently upgraded 1 wall to level 9 :/. Because of my OCD, i'm going to slave away at walls for the next few months. (fingers crossed that th11 won't come out anytime soon)
I will be "attempting" to max everything except hero's, since I'm really bad at farming de lol, as well as they will take me a long time do since they are low lvls.
