How long would you say it takes you to find something like that down there? I've been thinking about trying sub 200 for about a week now but I don't know how often these come up.Quote:

For me, it was a complete waste of time. As I got near 200 cups, every time I lost a battle I would only lose 3 more cups, so getting down there took FOREVER. And as soon as I logged off, I got hit 10 times with raids and got back around 200 trophies.

As fun as this game was when I started, it's getting to the point that I'll just stop playing.
the thing about sub 200 is that it needs to be under 200. once you are under you will find 30k raids but they will be very easy 30k raids that you could get with 20 or so goblins. then after that base you find another base with 20-30k easy gold and attack it with 20 more goblins. It really adds up. you will also need to be very active at sub 200 because as soon as you log off you get a ton of trophies and it is not an exaggeration when they say you will get 200 trophies in a few minutes.Quote:

I hope no offense is taken by my post but this is all in my experience from farming it as recently as last Thursday. I will no longer be farming it now since I'll be TH9 in 2 days but it is still very lucrative if you hit it at the right time.
Wow, this thread has some strong opinions. Sub200 inspires love and hate, for sure.
I loved the basement as a th7, and will be back as an 8 to give it another try. The loot fluctuates a lot, and can be abysmal on weekends. As a 7 with a couple boosted barracks I could make 1.5mil gold/hr and have FUN. I'm not interested in a pissing match about who makes more gold because it doesn't matter as much as finding a farming method that fits your own preferences.
The question is, what do you like?
many small raids/few big raids
simple army comps/complex comps
working to lose trophies/working to gain trophies
playing in sessions/playing in bursts
playing on weekdays/playing on weekends
fine without much de/need a lot of de
None of these are deal-breakers, but if all the options on the left sound good you might enjoy the basement. If you prefer at least a few on the right.. you're probably going to hate it. Whatever you do, don't visit on the weekend.
Not really. I tried a few days ago. I don't even think you can get -1 trophies anymore(I tried), so no point in dropping for that either.:(
