I have no idea if anyone has posted this because I don't spend much time here since I am playing the game. Some people were talking about a block feature, but I think it would be more beneficial to allow players to set a limit for daily purchases from the rss.
I don't think this is a very good idea. Think about it this way, what if you went to one of your friends shops and found items in six boxes that you want/need to purchase, but your friend has a limit of five boxes per person per day. I don't think you would be too happy about that. Or if you went shopping at a friends shop in the morning, bought the max amount you are allowed to buy for that day then went back later and see that items you really need but you can't buy it as you've already reached your limit for the day, and by the time you are able to purchase from them again someone else has gotten the item. It would also be inconvenient to always have to be setting or removing purchase limits on your shop. The shop is meant to sell items, you should be glad that people are buying your things and giving you coins. Also other farmers probably play differently than you do and might think they are helping you out by buying out our shop, how do you think they would feel if suddenly they were only allowed to buy a few boxes? They would likely be disappointed and stop following you to go and follow someone who doesn't impose purchase limits. THis feature would limit one of the main features of the game. Just keep in mind that anyone can buy whatever and however much of anything you have for sale in your shop. If its really bothering you the only things you can do is spread out when you put things up for sale (don't put all you good things up at the same time), delete them as a friend or follower, or wait until your farm falls off their last helpers list.
They should stop trying. Simply because it's not possible to provide items for everyone.Quote:

I did notice tho there's a lot of low levels following me. I do take that into account sometimes. For example, if I have 10 bolts to sell, I usually sell them in smaller stacks of 4/4/2. So that people who have little cash or little need for bolts can buy what they need.

This makes me uncomfortable. It reminds me of Rationing, which is what happens in times of war and famine - or petrol shortages... It's not about consumerism, and consumerism is the whole point of a shop, is it not? How would you feel if you went into a supermarket and were told, sorry you can only buy 2 things on your list because someone else may or may not want them later? You might say okay, and go off to another supermarket, or you may lodge a complaint of discrimination when you find out that 2 minutes later someone else was allowed to buy 4 items on your list but you only got 2.
There are many suggestions for ways you can sell items slower to enable different people to buy if you want to. Live and let live maybe? 😊🌸🌟
When I am selling to a neighbor, I just don't advertise. I also ask them to come to my shop before I put the item up so they will be there already, maximizing their chances of getting what they need. So far they've always gotten it. Before the neighborhoods, I used to love one follower who bought almost everything I put up for sale at night. That one moved on to a new farm, but whenever I am selling and I advertise, I smile when someone buys it all, and try to put even more for sale (once I sold out all my coffee kiosk products because one shopper kept buying them as fast as I could put them). I remember being at low levels before connecting to Game Center, selling, and having the items stuck there for days, with no way of freeing up my barn or silo more.....and it was so frustrating! I now have more stalls and much bigger storage, but I still like it when my items are wanted, even if it is by the same person. So it is true that everyone plays differently, and some people like frequent and big quantity buyers. The only time I avoid buying stuff is when I can't help a boat out, because that's obviously why they put stuff up for sale to begin with. Yes, I do groan when someone buys it all during my "help my boat" sale without helping even one crate, but now I just do those sales slowly....as in I put a few items at a time, and that works well for me.
I sell cheaply, but I bought out neighborhood stalls when they needed to raise money for certain machines, even at max price. I have also helped a lot of farms in the ads without buying, especially when I see they're sold out but nobody else helped. A limit button might work if we can set it ourselves, so we can all play the way we want to, but it might offend some shoppers who thought they were helping out.

Yeah I love it too when someone buys a lot of something from me.
It's happened a follower needed corn for their boat. They empty my shop, I put 90 corn back in, they return and buy all those too. Since I have about 300 corn to sell I don't mind at all... THANK YOU for you business!
After seeing the shop, I can see corn farmer's point tho. If you want to keep a lot of end products in your shop to help out the neighbourhood's boats, and somebody buys it all to drive the truck like crazy... that might be undesirable.

I've given it some thought and the sollution could be much simpler than a limit on sales or a seperate rss for neighbors.
When putting something in rss, there could be an extra checkbox. Just like the advertise checkbox, but it would be a "neighborhood" checkbox.
When the items is in the rss, it could be outlined by a color so visitors know it's a neighborhood only item.
Or, since the game knows if you're in the sellers neighborhood, it could simply show up as empty spot in the rss if you're not from the neighborhood.

I have 90 stalls I think a limit of 20 is okay for 90 stalls. Even 30. If you think I'm evil for only allowing to take from 20 stalls every 24 hours I don't mind. There are many who would be grateful that rare items are there, and Most would never hit that limit.
Anyway, If something is instituted site wide (like remove follower was) then everyone would know what it is. No one would be surprised. Anyway, this thread is just for ideas to have supercell read. No big deal.

I don't think you're evil for wanting to impose limits. And I still think it would be annoying to hit the limit at someone's farm, especially because most of the farms I see don't have shops with 90 stalls in them, so their limits, if they had them are likely to be lower than 20 boxes every 24 hours, which could make difficult and/or annoying purchasing situations arise. And unless the limit was posted somewhere on their shop, the buyer could still be surprised.Quote:

And you probably have the problem with followers buying out your stuff because you sell the nice stuff that attracts the followers in the first place. People rarely follow farms that never sell things. or never sell nice things.
