Hello co-farmers,
Now with the 3 crate limits ( let's hope it doesn't stay) i am in a dilemma when I fill crates of others. I do try to fill also the more difficult crates ( jams etc) but sometimes you see a nice boat with three easy crates. My dilemma is whether I should fill them all or just one and leave the rest for others. Does somebody recognise this dilemma?
For me is simple, if i have (and am willing to part with it) i fill as much as i can, easy or hard, its all relative anyway. I work from the principle the person is glad to have its 3 boxes filled as fast as possible, i know i like to have my 3 boxes done before i am finished with the bits i save for myself.
For me it totally depends on what the boat needs and if I have enough. I tend to all 3 boxes, especially if it's an easy one. If I see any sugar (brown and white), syrup, cheese, butter, and cream I definitely ignore those and will refuse to help on those boats. Other than that I tend to fill on neighbors boat with what I have.
it depend on how much time you spend on your game no one like to fill suger and all based material.... i always keeps them for me cause no one fills those anyways... everyone is happy to help i think my crates are all closed very quickly even if its jam.
Same here. I would fill as much as I could too. But sometimes when there's 2 easy crates and 1 hard crate. If I'm unable to fill the hard crate then I'll just fill 1 easy crate or leave them all for other players. Cause I think it would be fair for the one who's gonna fill the hard crate.Quote:

Added dilemma: Do you fill other open crates on sugar/dairy boats? For instance: two crates asking for sugar, one for blue sweaters. Or don't you fill anything on those boats?

For me personally it all depends on the other item. The blue sweaters I would probably fill because it is an easy item to purchase in the Daily Dirt if I would need to restock and it does add up for the wheel points towards the boat score hunter achievement. I am not that likely to fill cakes, juices and jams on those boats but would much rather save them for neighbours who have a chance in filling that boat.Quote:

It just feels a bit selfish to fill three crates on an easy boat because there are not that many crates to fill at the moment. But i do agree everybody should play how he or she likes.Quote:

I fill crates in neighbors' boats with anything they need, if I have it. If there is time, I will manufacture/grow it for them and I will shop for it for them. For boats of other players I do not generally fill crates needing jam, long-process-time juices, or cheese since they take so long to remake and I can't readily buy replacements in the store. I rarely come across a boat with a request for easy materials. Interesting to consider that it might be bad manners to fill those crates....
I made mountains of sugar and lakes of cream for people I knew where going for the Captain III achievement. And I DO fill a sugar or dairy crate occasionnally if it's the last one and the boat is about to leave. (Please say I'm an angel too ;-))Quote:

They didn't ask for help for nothing.
I have in the last few days done 2 boxes of brown sugar on 2 different neighbours. The reason i did it was because they had great stuff in their shop.
But my normal rule is i do not do sugar. Syrup, butter etc, only if i have more than 10 in my barn.

Well, the hesitation is because other fillers can't fill an easy crate when I fill all three of them. It's a sharing thing I guess. But I just found out the other day that the quicker you send a boat away, the more wheels you get. I didn't know that :p. So when I see a boat now with three crates open and the rest is filled, I do fill all three.Quote:

For high level players it is much more easy to fill a crate then for low level players. Since they have a bigger barn etc. I have all sorts of levels in the friend list. Offcourse I am also grateful if someone fills my boat immediately. But since there are not so many crates to fill at the moment sometimes I hesitate to fill all crates on a boat of to give somebody else the opportunity to fill it and earn points etc. I was wondering how other "farmers" thought about it and it is interesting to see that people have a different perspective indeed!Quote:

The farms that I follow usually sell really good stuff so when they need help on boats, I try to help out as much as I can. I have a few family members that play and obviously, they are my first priorities, to the point where I would actively go and hunt for materials for them.
On my own boats, I usually will ask for help on easy items that I know someone can fill quickly. This frees me up to work on the harder-to-make/find items.
