I have been playing on my BlackBerry for a few days and I am to the point where I would like to invest in Gems. Is there a way to do this given that Google Play Services does not function on my BlackBerry?
Thank you,

Nope sorry. I'm at that point too. Because CoC technically only supports apple and android, we blackberryers can't enjoy gems. But we are legit! 2 legit 2 quit!
Chicken or the egg, my friend. Developers reason they want the most bang for their buck (time invested in developing and marketing). However, there are a great many Windows Mobile and BlackBerry users out there who are potential clients that have not been realized. The mechanics have been developed and BlackBerry development couldn't be easier, truly.
I sometimes go to the dark place where I believe other platforms are paying off developers to not build for BB or WindowsM. But then I tell myself it's probably just lack of familiarity with development for those platforms. After-all, you don't see people advertising their programming skills for BB and WindowsM when Android and IOS command a premium.

The hell is a blackberry? They still exist? They have games on them? Lol
How are you playing on a device that doesn't support google play?
You have obviously downloaded the game through a dodgy site. Unfortunately, This means that you will probably not get any future updates and will most likely loose your game.
Clash is only available through Google play and Apple App Store.
BlackBerry 10 devices can install and run virtually any Android application directly from the Google Play store and Amazon marketplace. For the better part of a year, BlackBerry 10 users have been able to sideload the APK (the android application). Since February, BlackBerry users can browse the Google Play store and Amazon Marketplace as if it were Blackberry App World (the BlackBerry my app store) and install directly from there.
The hangup is when it comes to Google Play Services. --what many of the applications use to hook into the Google login system and perform back-end processes...CoC gem purchases or synchronization to the Google family of applications. Because BlackBerry has not yet implemented this portion of their Android integration into BlackBerry 10, us BlackBerry users are left with a perfectly working application except for the Google integration that is vital to purchasing CoC in-game items.
Windows Mobile running Android apps is around the corner will likely have the same issues. Sooner or later this will need to be tackled. One solution is to Build a BlackBerry/Windows version of CoC. The other, to offer a 3rd party payment service *hint* BlackBerry App World does this but is likely more expensive which is likely why SuperCell avoided Facebook/Apple Store purchase integration.
Looking forward to your thoughts and general BlackBerry ("they're still alive?") bashing. BlackBerry has been terrible at marketing, but that does not mean it's not a viable platform. :)
