Lvl 8 walls impossible...

Im a pretty lazy town hall 9 player that constantly is going down and up between 1400-2100 cups and i just cant seem to find a fast way to farm gold. I have almost all lvl 7 walls with the exception of a tiny few at lvl 6, but i have no idea where im going to get the loot for lvl 8. Which in my opinion is one of the most important lvl walls, as they show the final steps into a more hardcore section of CoC while lvl 7 walls are kind of the transitional wall between advanced bases and premie bases. Any ideas? Armies would be appreciated( i have 210 army spaces, lvl 6 giants archers and loons. Getting lvl 6 barbs and dark barracks lvl 5 in 5 days)

I'm a town hall 9 doing those lvl 8s. I use dragloonion in gold one. I did 6 walls yesterday, and 4 today. I can probably do 1-2 more today.

I'm finishing mine off as well. Better to start walls at early stages of TH9. Only have 22 lvl 7 left. Then gotta start legos. :( I'm currently just barching at 1550-1650. Not too much gold though.

Personally, I would go to 1700+. You can try using barch/bam as they work well for me, easy to use. Also its easier to have done those walls at TH8, but it can be done at TH9. Good luck!

I raid 20-30x a day and I finished lv.8 walls in 3 weeks.
Lv.9 walls takes me about 2 months...

I would reccommend going on a few times a day, barching at Gold 2 with boosted barracks for about two hours, you can get about 2.5 mil each time you do this.

I did mine at TH8, but I still use the same strategy. 4 giants, 10 wallbreakers, 20 goblins, and like 70 of both barbs and archers for you. The math may not be correct, but it should be close enough. I stayed around 1500 or so. It's hard, but it's worth it. Best of luck!

Having any level 6 walls as a TH9 shouldnt happen in the first place. Many TH8s have maxed their level 8 walls. Use barch and aim for gold and get all walls to level 7 ASAP. afterwards, dump extra gold into walls and they should progress slowly but surely. Also, if you look up sharonsym, he is impressive at upgrading walls

Idk about you, but I use Archers, Giants, Healer, wb, and valks I get 200k+ gold each time and as of now I have 90 lvl 9 walls rest lvl 8. I farm at 1600

wow first time ive seen valk in a army comp!!!;)

Building walls is all about the grind, and wouldn't work well if you're a self admitted lazy th9.

I can get 2.5m gold in 2 hours without boosts using BAG or BAM, no need for gems

That is why after many thorough discussions many a times, it is decided that the best time to make all ur walls lv 7/purp at th7 when the loot is fantastic and then upgrade to th8/skull at th8 where the loot is as good.

Use bam, at 1800 youl get them done quick. Im curretly farmig at 2300 and loots great as well. can get 4-5 egos a day if i play alot

how can u do that? barch is the faster army and even with 200k raid every 20 min you can get 1.2M without use of any gem. For sure u will say me u can found better raid with 300k ... but actually u had to use a lot of gold before find this raid. If not, give me your secret :)!

I did my skulls in no time and finished my legos. I found that the most consistent range for 200k+ raids that were a lot of inactives was around the 1550-1700 range. I stayed in that range for the whole time i was farming skulls and legos. I used a lot of BAM and barch. I promise, go there and you'll see what I'm talking about :cool:

BAM is the faster training army actually, since it utilizes all six barracks. And who said you have to use all your troops every raid :rolleyes:

I'm not sure if you noticed, but when you get to town hall 9 you get more walls to upgrade.... I did get all my walls to 7 before going to th9.

Funny, cause I had the same problem as you.
I rushed my TH to lvl 9 but stopped before I got to 10 and had all lvl 6 walls. I have been at TH 9 for 4 months mostly farming using hogs... IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!
Now I have almost maxed defences for TH9 where everything is max lvl or 1 lvl below max lvl for a TH 9... Now I have all lvl 7 walls. One day I tried BAM and it sucked cause their so much skill and experience involved for getting storages. So I used BARCH... in the first day I got results. I aaas on for 45 min and I got 1 mil loot farming at gold 2 and 3. I can still max out my base while slowly upgrading walls while I do it. Since I am only new to it I haven't done many walls but I am constantly getting max storages. So far I have upgraded 16 walls and my last 2 wiz towers to 7 in about 4 days.
I just recorded 700k gold and 700k elixir in 22min as my record so far.

bam is your best bet IMO. Its working great for me though I tend to very my strats from week to week depending on what I feel like. I just got to TH9 maybe 7 days ago or so and focused on all camps and lab first just started giants anyways bam not only was most efficient for elixir it has been allowing me to farm great gold as well.

Ultimately what is best varies so much. Do you have time to raid a couple times an hour a lot of days? If so BAM is best gonna easily be most profitable if your in a decent trophy range gold 1-2 has been best for gold for me. If you can only raid once per 1-1.5 hours than you need to go after bigger game 300k or so per raid in which case giant healer or loonian is gonna be more efficient in the long run for that situation.

I have been using bam to easily going for storages as long as not more than one is in core or the best design isn't real tough but generally I'm looking for slightly easier to access storages unless its DE. The most important thing about bam is fan enough barbs and archers around outside of the section your going into. If you try to send most troops inside a wall the splash will make you lode every time. I found sending less inside with more outside is much better.

Also I got like 127 skulls done I think with a 230 mil gold grab in 3.5 months so its working good for me so far I think =]

Not to be a d*ck, but I don't see where the difficulty lies. Since at TH9 I am overflowing with elixir, I just upgrade from 7 to the skull wall and it almost immediately becomes a lego right after. Making could progress this way. Easy breezy.

I would whole heartedly agree with these guys about the best trophy range of 1400-1700 gold league for loot. By some distance this has been the best range for me and allowed me to do my full set of skull walls using only gold relatively quickly.

I have experimented with every trophy range from Bronze up to crystal 3, farming hard and I on average pick up between 6-10 million per day, using BARCH. Everyone will have their own view and own experience, but in my humble opinion I would say, forget giants, forget Valks, as you don't need them, it's far less profitable so to speak, and doesn't effect your dark elixir.

All you need is a 60% - 40% split of archers to Barbs, with around 8-10 wallbreakers on standby also in case there is a specific base that you need to get into. For 9 out of 10 bases you will not need the WBs. As Terrapin pointed out, often you don't even need to use your full army so will already have a head start on the next raid.

This option is cheap, quick and highly profitable. Get in, get the loot, a star if possible, and get out, and straight onto your next raid. particularly effective if you boost the 4 barracks. The amount of dead bases and bases that I regularly come across with between 400k - 700k is incredible, can't remember the last time I had to press "Next" anymore than 10 - 15 times, more often than not come across a suitable base within 5.

Again just my own opinion on what works for me having picked up a 6-10m average per day.

Bottom line is all about how much raiding you do. if you have time to play and raid a couple of hours with boosted barracks it wont take long to finish lev 8 walls. if you dont make like five raids a day then it is going to take a while. i dont have time to raid alot which is why i have been at TH8 for so long. But slowly but surely i am getting my walls finished. You could alwaysd use some real cash and gem them, that is definitely the fastest way. lol

should never rush man.. this is going to feel like the longest process ever, but it'll get done.farm between gold 3-1 , use BARCH with your Heroes(heroes are optional) and raid bases with there pumps and mines full or in between. and stick to that. catch up all your walls to lvl 7, then move up.

You all just bump thread from April 2014?! Really? Btw LVL 8 walls are considered as the most easiest ever! farm for legos and you will know which is harder

I understand your concern as believe it or not large amounts of gold are hard to come by in one base. To be honest I only farm for regular elixir. I target bases with at least 100 k in elixir to raid. Whatever I get besides that is a bonus. When you have a free couple of hours boost your barracks and go on a raiding spree. The best loot is in the gold levels so stay around there. I use 8 wall breakers, 12 giants, and the rest an equal split of barbs and archers(about 60 apiece I think). These troops allow me to get to the center of most bases where most of the loot is located. Also get a good war clan. My clan wars everyday and we win most of them. If you win your war bonus should be good. My last bonus was 626 k of both gold and elixir apiece. each time we win it's another wall. I am a th 8 and I have 30 level 8 walls and the rest level 7. Go to silver 1 and use simply barbs and archers. Lots of inactive TH 7 & 8's there. I dropped so low I'm in silver 2 lol.

Try farm at around 1550

It's not impossible dude I farm 20 Level 9 walls per day i stay around at 1550-1700 BARCH/BAM

Wait until u get to lavas that's where the fun really begins. I thought Legos were a grind nah. Luckily I did 40 lavas last week. Sadly still 146 to go


Farm in gold 2/1 I constantly find 300of each raids. Every now and then you will find 500 of each. Lots of loot laying around

That's what anyone would feel when they dont max their walls by the time they are upgraded to new TH...

I did all of my lego walls in slightly more than two months and about 95% of the gold needed (i only used elixir for maybe 10-15 pieces) was obtained by barching in Gold 2. I stayed between 1600-1750, there are tons of dead th8s and underdeveloped th9s in that range which you can hit for collector raids and the occasional storage raid.

24 each of archers, barns, goblins, 8 wb, 12 giants, 11 minions and 10 hogs. Use only heal, maybe one a battle. Elixir cost less than 100 E and you can flatten most stuff in Gold 1,2,3. Normal troops first, dark troops after.

I do my 8's and 9's in silver 2- gold 1 just barching th 8's and have no problems at all

And here I am farming Zap walls to max. :rolleyes:
