Call me a dummy or impatient, but I find myself removing an active shield quite often because i just want to attack. Does anyone else do this often? Im curious what other people do.....

Yeah pretty much anytime I want to raid I break the shield, unless I know I'm going to bed soon or won't be on for a while.
The only time I don't break a shield is when I know I'm going to be off for a while, or if I have a defensive upgrade going on. Otherwise, there is WAY too much gold out there to wait...:cool:
I do that sometimes. If i ever have boosted mines/collectors for cheap gems or when i have weakened defenses for upgrades i will leave the shield. but if i log on after a 12 hour shield has expired and i have been attacked again and another shield is given, i will usually break it...Quote:

After so long I finally understand the importance of shields. I rather get loot from my collectors and still not get attacked. While I'm waiting I work on my 2nd a 3rd account :P I'm thinking to make a 4th one after my 3rd one goes to TH 5

Not really. TH 7 is more of the transition to the "powerful" stages of the game, and TH 8 is where the power starts, then TH 9 is where you're really gaining your best powers.Quote:

TH7 is really where things start to take off. If you're an extremely active farmer like me, you'll find you've got all purple walls before you have all your buildings upgraded, and then you will find your storages constantly full while you wait multiple days for upgrades, making you more of a target for attacks.
As such, I am upgrading to TH8 right now without having everything maxed (but most everything is one lvl below max or maxed)
But anyway, yes, I will break a shield frequently unless I'm going to bed, because I raid a lot more than I lose from being raided, when you consider the volume of attacks I dish out than what I receive.
you don't need shield if you're on farming mode
and you really need them if you're on camping/maxing mode

The reason I like TH 5 is cause that's when I discovered farming, pushing, etc. That was when I turned from a noob that protected everything in 1 layer ofwalls and made a layer to protect my TH all the way to a farming TH 5

Yes, me too. And I find myself at TH7 with fully upgraded purple walls and every other upgrade takes 2-5 days to complete, so I'm sitting around unable to farm because my storages are full and I can't spend the loot as fast as I raid it. Which is why I'm upgrading to TH8 now so I can keep the loot spent and be less of a target than sitting with storages maxed for days at a time.Quote:
