Heroes are always useful to keep upgrading. You'll want Level 5 Golem eventually, and no one cares about the useless Valks.
Hero's are always a good upgrade golems are worth it to id personally skip valks.
If your lab is idle, do golems then valks. Normally though heroes come first.
I stand by my opinion that Valks are like Pekkas in attack strategy, but by using Valkyries you can use excess DE to help you save up for Elixir instead of vice-versa.
I've often wondered if there is a pro out there who just smashes with a squad of upgraded valks? I'd love to see some vids - why is it we don't use them? Kinda wierd.
no one uses valks cuz theres no point waiting 15 min. for a troop that can be sprung out by a single sping...not to mention the 8 camp spaces...
Then why use witches? If it's a matter of time and or cost or space, GoWiWi wouldn't make a lot of sense either. Yet it's widely used... I don't use Valks just because I prefer max balloons, with cheaper minions. But the stat line suggests beast mode possibilities. As for springs, send in the barbs, duh. Common practice to trigger traps before going balls to the wall... I feel like there isn't real a solid reason I've heard yet - it's just not many players favorite...

Good spoken I raped a th10 with quite awesome baselayout and defence upgrades with my 10valks 30wiz and 3healspells!! Valks were L1 wiz L5! Just got to know how to use them valks and you'll win any raid, personally I just can't afford to save the dark elixir for L2 almost had it but then I finished th9 and bought archer queen who is upgrading now aswell and I can't stand the very failed by SC training time other then over nights though ;'(
But anyhow stop saying everybody never use the useless valks because its my favorite troop and I use it always when I am not online for the time it takes to train them and with my five different army mixes I have almost never failed to 80-100% a th9-10 with L1 valks as main troop :)
Plz never do mistake as u did with hogs if u change valks I want them to prio cc troops only when they get close and otherwise any target as always :)) but buff the time to train plz

And to the original post! I think that always when u want to put up last builder / two last builders on work do make ur hero upgrades because then u won't need them until next free builder and when u have 3-5 free builders then u should focus ur overflow darkelixir on lab upgrades because you may most likely need ur hero's to farm the big dark elixir amounts :)
Yup, people are saying thats valks are bad, but have they even upgraded them - although tbf they are still strong level 1 :rolleyes:

Plz talk for urself, first you seemed to talk for everybody and now u talk for "them" so I wouldn't believe that people can easily believe such facts, at least I can't as I'm one of those "everybody" just that you wrote false information about what I and many others in the group of "everybody" actually think :/
If u use valks with healer / wiz they do about as much as a giants with healer / wiz. Except one costs loads and takes about 7 times longer to train.
Ok, well what town hall level are you? I'm th9. I use a giants archers barbs wb an gobs for farming. And then ballinions and gowipe for trophy pushes. Valks don't come into this.
Heros first they are amazing once there level 20+ and there abilty really does pay off

Back on topic, how many valks do u use in your army for farming and trophy pushes. Then how good are they against multi infernos.
My question was do u use like 2-4 valks in an army just to mix them in with a classic farming army. Or do u like train like half your camp with em (taking 2 hours + for a raid).

on topic, (apart from useless comment) ^^ is fairly accurate. Levelled heroes are absolute beasts, to go up against or to use to your own advantage. Depending on how fast you farm DE it is possible to upgrade both simultaneously (note: this is not me).
Golems are gooooood if hunting for cups, and in general fun to play around with imo.
Heroes, heroes, heroes, heroes, heroes.
They start becoming fairly useful around L20, tolerable @ L25,
and by the time they hit L30, you'll start wondering why you never got them up sooner.
If you can afford to wait the 7 days x forever that it takes to keep them continuously growing
(is 7 days the time for each level - I forget),
then dump your excess DE in golems / hogs first before taking your Amazonian ladies up.
It isn't because they're useless, because a CC full of valks / barbarians can be very painful to deal with;
but because at the moment, GoWiPEs / GoWiWis are a more cost efficient way of getting a 2* done
(not to mention that goleys are also a favourite CC troop for GoWiWis & GoDrags),
and if you must go for the 3rd *, nothing packs a punch better than good ole' bacon.
(OK, maybe mass witches if you do it right.)

Well I've never cooked a valk so I wouldn't know.
If you have L20+ heroes, maxed dragons, and a lot of patience hunting for a base
(the lower your heroes, the further the AD has to be from the defending heroes / CC),
it's actually quite fun & an *almost* idiot-proof way to win a raid.

After an L36 AQ with a few healers single handedly got around 60% on my defensively maxed TH9 base yesterday I see the appeal with very high level heroes... but you have to remember that 99% of the people who clash will never take their heroes past L15-L20, myself being one of those people. Not everyone has a bazillion hours daily to play clash and farm for the resources necessary, let alone have your heroes inactive for 3-4 months.
Personally, I upgraded all my de troops first before doing much on my heroes, hence why I still have low level heroes but an advanced base. My golems still need two more levels and I'll get there, especially now that I'm TH10 and will need to start using GoWi___ to help out my clan in CW. I'm in no rush to do my minions to L6 either.
As for valks, I love them and use them a few times a day. I love that people keep talking about the amount of time she takes although they are happy to use witches, golems, dragons or other troops that take longer. She is one of the most underrated troops in the game imo. Also remember that not everyone lives on the game and takes breaks during raids, sometimes for hours on end so what is 45-60 minutes to make a few valks?
Oh, I have no doubt that she packs a punch:
an army of them, coupled with some wizards & appropriately placed spells can wreck quite a bit of havoc.
But here lies the problem:
unless you're trampling on premie bases w/ butter / candy walls,
valk attacks are usually, at best, a 2*.
For this purpose, GoWiWi / GoWiPE is a more time / cost effective army as:
1. you get to split training time between two kinds of barracks; and
2. it doesn't cost as much as an entire army of Valks - even if you're gemming it, DE is by far the most expensive resource to buy.
Now, hoggers and mass witchers you might argue, have to wait insanely long amounts of time / spend ridiculous amounts of DE too.
True - but here lies the difference:
unlike valks, you can completely reduce a maxed base to rubble (READ: 3*)
with hogs / witches.

I say heros, though my biggest issue with upgrading heros is waiting the week for them to upgrade, that is just painful. I rarely have I the services of both my heros.
As for valks, for me they take too long to train and too much space for what they do. I prefer witches, while they take longer and more space, they can fire over walls and those skeletons are great for triggering traps and handling clan troops.
if supercell shave a few minutes off the valks and made them take 5 or 6 spaces, I would start using them. Mine are at level 2, but they are last in my list to upgrade, but I am getting close to getting to them.
As soon as a valk dominant army gets over 50% of my base, I might say they arent so bad.
Edit: I'm th9, lvl 105, all blue crystal walls, about half my defenses are maxed for th9, and I have lvl 10 heroes. Usually sitting between crystal 3 and crystal 1.

Given the amount of time ive been playing this game and how few successful valk attacks ive seen i feel that a link like this regarding an all valk attack has next to no merit. You would have to find the perfect base to make this comp viable, healers dont help vs infernos now, and the train time for trophy hunting and or farming is not even close to making this efficient. Thats like two hours and thirty minutes of training and just hoping they dont have well placed air mines or infernos towers. Realistically i suppose air defenses would even be crucial. It just doesn't make any sense to run a comp like that, given it has such a high rate of failure, long training time, and requires a ton of patience to even find a base worthy of using to get 2 stars.
