I've got a TH9 and about 80% of my walls are level 8. It'll take me about a week to get them all done at my current pace. So before that happens I'd like to hear your opinions. A part of me wants to do it and part of me doesn't. I know the new troops can get over the walls but I think they're super weak and my defence will take 'em out before that happens.
you should if u r fully upgraded. if not. try get 2 lvl3 xbows and 3 air 7 . those are musy have to prevent pekkas n dragons attack.Quote:

I'm farming to upgrade my base however I've decided to upgrade air defence and x bows last because I never or very rarely get attacked by dragons and the x bow takes too long. Before I go trophy hunting I'll be sure to max them out though.Quote:

Max out your defenses first, and while you are waiting for upgrade times and have nothing much to do, why not upgrade your walls?
Exactly. And when all your builders are busy you can save for a next upgrade. That's what i do. I have all my builders busy but 3M gold in storage, so for a next upgrade I don't have to wait. Walls are useless. You spend millions and only 2 WB destroys it.
That's what I'm doing right now but I've seen many people saying its not worth upgrading the walls anymore. So I was wondering if I should upgrade the walls ad the defences at the same time or should I just forget about Lvl 9 walls because many people say they're not worth it anymore because of the new DE troops.Quote:

I just got to TH9 3/4 weeks ago and as of now, i still have cannons, archers towers, Air d, 1 tesla, and lvl 3 xbows to do. Once i am half way done, Ill start my lvl 9 walls. I think its pretty important to have them as they require 3 wbers to break...and what else are you going to do with your gold since you will be almost maxed out?

Personally I don't see the need to upgrade walls past level 6. It takes only 1 wb extra... In total a few more wb's but still it doesn't seem like a cost effective investment.
Upgrade any and all defenses (other than walls) first, after that you will have plenty of time and gold to invest it in walls.

So here's my question... I'm an almost maxed out th8, find me in kings of Sweden, bengan112.. Anyways, I have like 30 lvl8 walls, is it worth the effort to stay another month here to get them done?
Dunno... I don't think if walls were the only thing left, that it would stop me going to TH9.
If everything else is maxxed...go for it. Plus you do have a few days to do walls whilst its upgrading.
Especially as you now get a 10% bonus for attacking TH9's.
Tho on the flip-side you get 10% less attacking TH7's.

I absolutely think they are worth it. When you search for opponents & come across a base with all lvl8 walls vs another comparable base with gold/pink walls, which would you choose to attack if both offer ~ 200k loot?
it's a great deterrent given the elixer & troop training time.
my clan-mates have better towers/cannons/mortars but weaker walls then I do, but I get attacked less often than they do. :)
I know my opinion is in the minority, and that works out well for me.

No one with lower troops than maxed would honestly be that dumb to attack a th8/9 with all skulls.
