Drop in trophies, or make a better farming base will help prevent the latter option from occuring.

And as per your second complaint:
1. Feel glad, when i started COC, it was December 2012 and there was no village edit until mid-2013. I survived by manually placing my walls and defenses. If you got attacked or took a break while designing, you would easily get killed. And it took over an hour in some cases.
2. I am a town hall 9 and it takes me 15 minutes tops to make my base unless if it is a funnel or hog base w/o open spokes (_l_ type)
3. Your base should be hybrid or at least be able to move a couple walls to easily fit your town hall. If your base is a anti hog, then it should have some space because most are for trophy hunting.

Im level 94 a very decent th9 that will admit there r some issues with game like switching bases before and after clan wars and all that stuff. But I didnt quit the game when these things like gaining 100k and then losing 200k. U need to be active, research a good base, find a good farming range, have some decent raiding skills and upgrade everything. ,
Yes it's hard but it's harder to stop all of these rage threads
bro they are making a save base layout for bros who don't have cool TRANSFORMER BASES like me, the best bro.
Also bro you can attempt to refine trophy range for farming. Because I had the same problem once bro. Some times it still takes a bit to find a base. But not so bad bro.
And if you make a dope sweg farming base you will only get destroyed by swole bros when you REALLY fill your storages.

I like to think of coc as a strategy game such as chess which people do find boring. Creating a base that can hold up to the mightiest of attacks yet been able to transform from a farming to a trophy hunting base can be quite stimulating for the mind. TH8 is the golden age of my farming days. That is where I get an average of 500K(gold and elixir) worth of resources every raid. I was able to maxed out my base for 3 months and I'm not the fastest to do it. Some did it for like weeks or a month. It means loot is not dry. I farmed between silver 1 and 2 using Giant-Healer combo.
