Warehouse for barn, silo and expansion items

Can you please allow us to build a warehouse to store items for the barn, silo and expansion items? These items take up to much room in the barn thus not allowing you to store the required food items. Food is much need to assist your neighborhood, friends, visiting guests. In addition to the boat orders and the special goal events.

At the present time, I have to store 94 of each item to upgrade my barn and silo. Hence, not enough space to store food items as the supplies are taking up the much need space.

Therefore, I am requesting a warehouse to assist in this very important matter.

I'm pretty sure this was an intentional design decision to prevent hoarding of expansion materials. I used to have this problem, but now I sell off extras, and I believe I'm receiving more of my 'rare' items than ever and at the same time have enough room for food.

I.e. I used to hoard them all and never have enough space (have like 50 bolts and only 1 tape and 1 plank). Now I sell off the extra bolts and I can find much more tape and planks and expand sooner. Also, it helps out other people who might need those extra bolts.

Just some thoughts.

How about making Hay Day "GREEN" by creating a saw mill to make boards with the trees we cut down? The sawmill could also double as a tool shed to store building supplies and expansion materials rather than our barns.

This may be the case for people hoarding. I am not a hoarder and I do sell extra parts as well as food. Although this may be helpful for you, it is not the case for me and others I have spoken with in my neighborhood. I am required to get 94 items/ parts for my silo and barn. I suggest you try storing just one set of EMs at a time; decide if you are going to upgrade your silo, or your barn and only store those items, then say, once your barn is upgraded, save for your silo. I need 37 of each SEM and 46 of each BEM at the moment, so I manage my resources by only saving the items for the building i am currently working on upgrading. Easy peasy.

BTW, your options in your poll don't relate to your question, so it is impossible to vote for a response.

At times it was difficult, esp when I had almost all items for both the barn and the silo. When that was the case, it was, quite logically, only for a short time. I could always manage... so why can't you? Gotta make choices in the game. Is there anything else in the barn you can dump?

For example, lotsa people got eggs in their barn. You don't really need that... let the chickens sit on em until you need them.... There might be other ways to save some space.

I haven't had to choose between the silo or barn upgrade. I'd consider that the least desirable option.

It's a nice idea but as a player I think it's fine the way it is.

Btw now that I reread your post... if you and your neighborhood got the same problem, you and your neighborhood could help eachother with it :)

If someone in your neighborhood is only a few items away from the next upgrade, somebody could help them with those few items. Suppose somebody only needs 2 planks, you could give them to them under condition you get the first 2 planks they loot. Or you could trade with eachother.

BTW I think the poll is bugged/biased or whatever you'd call it. The question is: Would you like to build a warehouse for supplies?

I don't agree with this at all, and OP shouldn't either.

Every time you expand, you get 50 new slots. But you only need 3 extra items for your next expansion. 6 if you're expanding your silo at the same rate. That means that every time you upgrade, you get 44 more slots in your barn for other stuff which is pretty generous.

Fixing errors, removing small annoyances (like mistakenly spending diamonds) and adding features is fine, but making the game easier discredits people who have managed their farm well and passed achievements, acquired masteries, expanded/upgraded their buildings etc in spite of these difficulties.

I would be pretty annoyed if the 3-star boat challenge goal was reduced to 10,000 because enough people complained about how hard it was to get to 15,000. And you getting your barn to level 93 or whatever is a great achievement. Why should players like me with a level 51 barn have to work less to achieve the same?

let say if my barn say it can hold 50 items, it actually mean that it can hold 50 sets of items of the same type, for example if it shows 4/50, it actually holding:

24 butter
25 cream
1 brown sugar
3 white sugar

each of the type above in counted as one slot, hence 4 different items means only 4 slots taken. Even if SC set it as 50 copies of the same item per slot, there would not be need for so many upgrades, sounds logical?
