Maxed out th8 with a net loss of loot everyday

I am a much closer to being maxed th8 (full skulls, all defenses maxed, barb king lvl 10). All I lack are de troop upgrades, lvl 3 pekkas, barracks, and pumps/collectors). I am upgrading to lvl 9 now as well and it will be finished Saturday night unless I decide to gem it. Since I have nothing left to spend gold on, my storages are near being maxed (5.5M gold, 5M elixer). I keep my townhall outside.

I think you should drop down in trophies (as previously stated) while you are trying to max storages. I am in silver one and I can sit here without a shield and 300k, 300k, 2k available without getting attacked for half a day plus. When I do get attacked it is somebody using 140 lvl 3 barbs or something like that who ends up getting 1500 gold.

If you have attracted a whimpy sniper, you won't have to worry about the people who attack you because your loot is too good to pass up.

I still have a hard time believing a person can lose all their storages and still not get the shield for 40%. I have no empathy for people who have obvious design problems with their base.

Just to let you know you are not a maxed out TH8 if you have exceptions...just saying. Also depends on the attacks you are receiving. Ground attacks are slowed by walls air attacks are slowed by air defense and teslas that you need to max. Also depends on Clan castle troops. I am an almost maxed TH8 48 wals to go. I sit in the 2200-2400 most of the time. I get 1-2 starred all the time. Once in a while I get 3 starred with MAX ballons a minions. I dont lose much gold because everyone who attacks is a TH9 or 10 which get penalties. Besides when building walls I never have gold available.

It short just spend the mony and elixar.

TH outside is really best bet for saving loot in this situation Sure someone big might come hit you, but low lvl looking for stars might as well. The low level will just next if you TH is inside so give him a chance to give you a cheap shield ;)

OP you might be a little high my TH8 is at 1550 cups right now and maybe 3/4 times they just take the outside TH and end the raid.

A th8 with pink walls probably should be in the silver leagues maybe 3-2 ish range. And I agree don't call your base maxed with pink walls. Those of us with the skulls walls put in a lot of time and effort at th8 to get them.

pink and purple walls is like 40% TH8. no wonder you get attacked if you have a bad base as well. And you don't want to put your TH outside too, against common sense, so you are going to get attacked.

I can't recall the last time I was attacked and lost a lot of loot. Must be over 2 weeks. TH OUT = WIN !
