We, in our clan, do not like the actual looting system which gave the full loot to a player that does only one star in an attack. The system feels pretty UNFAIR to us.
We would like to see it a function of the destruction percentage for each attacked village.
This will prevent the unfairness of seeing two players, one having done 3 stars, one having done 1 stars, having the SAME loot on the same village. Worse, a player that have done 3 stars get a lower loot than an other one that does 1 star on a slightly harder village... this is clearly unfair.
20140429 - Update :
- The Town Hall should get a bonus, for the Loot to be in adequation to the "Stars" rating", let's say... 30% of the full loot.
Now about the 70 remaining percents, something like a power function should be adequate and better than linear (linear was the first idea),.

The Linear is not good enought, the red seems good to me, it means that ... someone who does 20% will get more than twice than a player that does 10% on a village ... the more destruction you do, the more you get for each new percent.
Add to that the 30% of Full loot for a destructed TH.
Of course a 100% small village SHOULD not give you more than 50% on a real bigger village, i suppose the matchmarking GOT this information and should correctly decide on the Max loot for every village.

Based on this spreadsheet i would say that with the "Based on destruction method", the Full loot should be increased, between +50% and +100% to get the same average loot than the "Original" Method.
20140429 - Update 2 : Multiplier Factor
Calculus done, the multiplier factor should be 1.74, for a village with 200k loot (original), it should be increased to 200*1.74 = 340k
Ps : The sum of loot in the "Tweaked" column is different than in the "Original" one because these are only examples... On a continuous table with all destructions between 0 and 100% with and without TH ... sums are identical (or math error from me)

- As you can see a player that does between 1 and 49% of destruction (no TH) will get more loot with the tweaked method, people which try to get stars should be rewarded.
- A player that only does the TH will get less loot than in the original method.
- A player that does everything right, destroy everything, will get more loot than before.
