Alright peeps. King is now lvl7 ;)
Alright peeps. King is now lvl7 ;)
I'm not going to tell you not to go to TH9 because of the loot penalty or because you'll look weak or because of any other made up reason I can think of. There is only one reason I recommend players not rush...and that is because of the overwhelming amount of new upgrades one gets when they do.
I like to think about it like your room/closet/garage - whichever work best for you. Everyone's RCG (room/closet/garage) looks different, but they all serve the save purpose. Just like your village. Some people have messy RCG (rushed town halls) and some have clean and organized RCG (max every TH). I consider a rushed TH like a messy RCG because you have SOOO much to do, and it's not close to being done. It can be very discouraging. That's why I chose to max all my TH's first. I got overwhelmed with having ALL my archer towers 3 lvl's away from maxed, cannons 4 lvl's away, wizards 3 lvl's away, etc. THEN if you went to a new TH with all of that going on you have MORE buildings you have to start over lvl'ing up. So you can forget about all your other defense getting better, cause they won't - trust me. You will spend the next month or two worrying about your new defense that haven't even caught up with your old defense. You're just adding mess on top of mess.
CoC is all about setting goals and having a plan. It's impossible to do that when EVERYTHING is so far behind. It can get discouraging and cause you to focus more on some buildings and neglect others. All your defense should level up evenly as to not have any weaknesses in your base.
And another thing - the Xbow is the most overrated defense in the game. It's essentially an archer tower with more range. Check out the damage and tell me I'm wrong. Don't jump TH's JUST for that. Xbows aren't that good. You really want a good base? Max your wiz towers and put them near your storages, be smart about your traps, keep heroes and CC well in the center as to not be lured out. THAT's what makes a good base.
Just my opinion and you can do whatever will make the game more fun for you.
Xbows have same dps as cannons.. Why rush? When i farm i loot from people like you all day
the overwhelming amount is because you maxed everything, the upgrade price will be very high.
When you go premie, for example myself... I still have cannon lv.7 when I'm on TH9. The upgrade cost is just about 400K.
so I have many variety of upgrade, I can upgrade expensive xbows / WT if loot is good or upgrade cheap ad / tesla / cannon if loot goes bad. So, a premie don't have to always save and pile gold more than 3 million and the most I got is TH Snipe from TH6/7 that try to get gems.
when you're maxed, you're forced to save at least 3 million for the cheapest cannon upgrade, 5 million for WT/AT and when you have more than 3 million, you'll teasing with 350K loot that is very tempting for those hoggers/advanced Giants and BARCH players.
there is no different, as TH8 we're always getting rolled by TH9 as well... there is no chance against those strong hogs/baloon/even giants lv.6 will get all the loot from maxed TH8 unless we farm on safe zone (below gold 2).Quote:

anyway, by going premie, again there is nothing to worry as you don't need much gold so those strong guys won't bother to drop on your base.
going for xbows is the major mistakes when one go to TH9...Quote:

well we don't go TH9 for xbows... we go for AQ, camps space and Lv.6 troops
---
anyway, a premie will have stronger AQ because we started grinding them earlier...
for example, I must be still a TH8 with no AQ if I max all my things, but I choose to go premie and my AQ is already lv.11 now...

EDIT:
well I like to add.. not every premie is good, too rushed town hall will ruin your game and make you suffer...
but If you know when you're ready, then It's better to go premie...
