Supercell, why?

Why don't you come clean about all the changes in the game? Why do we have to dig through game files to find out the new loot penalties? When you hide stuff from us, makes us feel like you're trying to trick us.

Are you embarrassed over it? Or do you just want to hide it from casual players so they will upgrade TH prematurely, run out of loot and buy more gems? A little more transparency would go a long way.

New loot penalties. Could you elaborate? If this is true, and you can document it here, I would be interested to see it along with other players I am sure. Whilst I noticed some changes in the loot system, it is good to see someone doing this type of research to verify these changes have actually occurred - obviously there seems to be a lack of transparency where loot is concerned.

For some reason, Supercell is really against explaining how loot works in-game. I'm not sure why, but nothing in the game ever talks about loot penalties, loot caps, etc.

I upgraded my town hall to level 9 at a very fast time. It was easy at first but now I cant loot fairly anymore. Then I searched for some reasons why is that and I found out that there is some penalty loot. If I only knew it from the start I would not have benn upgrade my town hall so fast. At least increase the production of mines and elixir so that even if we dont loot that enough we can still cope up. It will take forever for me now to achieve full level defenses and ofenses. Please help us :(

They have "come clean" of all the changes in game. I will agree there is a few tweaks that may be done without notification because they are very minor (opinion), but you have not provided any evidence as exactly what they are hiding from from or not coming clean about.

They did notify us of the loot changes in an earlier thread (click here to read). The loot also changes as do the players. Supercell cannot control how much loot players have. When they announce an update people may say to themselves that they will let their supply run dry, and then just gem the new content. Others may decide to start saving ahead of time which leads to an influx of elixar, gold, and dark elixar. When the update is released all the gold and elixar will be dry for a few days due to people spending it all. You can see how much the economy (a.k.a the loot) is controlled by the people, not Supercell.

Also Supercell cannot control exactly when people choose to upgrade their Town Hall. It is up to the player and though Supercell may make it very tempting to, it is still up to the player. If they choose to upgrade it prematurely that is their choice.

Again, Supercell made mention of the loot changes awhile ago (link found above) and at each town hall level the loot varies. It is the players decision.

Gimme a break Shady, that thread is months old. They have decreased loot for TH9's twice since then with no offical word - nothing in the release notes, and not even any acknoledgement on a thread that I've been able to find. Certainly nothing in-game to warn players of the penalty for premature town hall upgrades. I don't understand how you can defend them.

So i understand now why others making other account. It's because of trial and error. You upgraded your town hall very fast then you can't loot enough anymore. maybe it's time for you to create a new game to perfect it next time and be cautious in anything that you can upgrade rather waiting for your gold mines and elixir collector to produce millions in one or two days

My point is that your accusations have no evidence. The reason the town hall 9 loot has decreased is more than likely do to the player. The player's control the economy to an extent but I can see the logic behind your accusation.

Instead of accusing them of something that you have no evidence/proof of I think you should be asking. Ask them to to post more detail on the loot for all of the town halls, the statistics any ways. I am sure plenty of people have the question and would like an answer. Ask them for details instead of accusing them.

Shady, dude, you have no clue. There is now a 10% loot penalty for TH9 attacking TH8. They know it, I know it, so I don't have to provide evidence to convince you. Previously there was a 25% penalty for TH9 attacking TH7. Months ago they secretly increased it to 50% and didn't tell anyone. I just want to know why they are hiding it from us. Why they aren't telling new players of the dangers of upgrading early. Some transparency would help a lot.

That is what I am talking about. There was a thread created that stated the loot changes yes, but you provided no evidence here. A simply explanation to support your thread should have been included. You decided to make a thread on the loot changes and I completely understand, but all you need was a little explanation, an example, a connection (e.g. dahimi's forum) but you did not have any so it was difficult to support/understand what you meant. It's not just me you have to convince, anyone can read this thread and without the slightest bit of evidence (ex. connections to dahimi's forums) how are people suppose to be on your side?

This was a question for supercell, not for shady. Hence the thread title. You can see how it is a problem, even a very active player like yourself was not aware of the loot changes. Nothing but silence from the mods.

supercell could have told us.. we are going to find out through game files anyway, so my Q is, why make us bother? it will jsut save effort telling us outright!

They never mentioned that there was changes in the single player missions and that cannons look different for level 7 and 8. Even tho these are minor they should be in the release notes.
