Gems box turned to gray and can't purchase since 2 days ago.

Hi Rauta,

Can you help me please. A day after the the new update is release I experience this issue, I can't purchase gems as it was turned to gray like as it is deactivated. I've done the suggestions found in this forum but nothing help I still got the same problem. Check the screenshot on how it is exactly appear on my device.

And also I am also afraid and so anxious just now I received an email from itunes store saying that I purchase gems yesterday which really impossible because since I'm having problem in this issue of purchasing gems. Even if the purchase is true I didn't get additional gems in my account.

Please I need your quick response.

Note: I erase my detail info in the receipt, provide me a private email if you want to see my details on the receipt.

I experienced the same (when i had a bad inet connection). even when the inet connection was good again, it still didnt work. I reinstalled game and was good to go.

looooooooooool atleast you have a god damn box thank the lord, i have nothing out there. no boxes no options to buy gems, few hours ago i got some gems, they never came and the options were gone :D soon i am going to contact apple store :D I wanttt myy moneyyy backkk hahahahaha

Most likely that means purchases have been disabled on your device or there is a problem with your account at the app store.

Edit: Also, it keeps asking me about my Appstore password each time i reopen the game. This is very annoying.

Better wait for Rauta. That's the best thing to do for now, so many issue being raise I hope soon they will response to us. I agree with you this appstore password always popup everytime i load the game.

Same Problem

I have the same issue.
Though I bought 2500 gems and the game crashes for no reason.

Reopened, I got the gem, BUT, the gem box turned gray and the most important part is, the Apple ID Password keep appearing. For God's sake, it appear for whatever app I open.

This is ridiculous, solve this please..

Hi I have the same problem, I can't purchase gems anymore. I don't know what I did or what happened but the options are grey and I'm asked to log with my apple account all the time...
Although it forces me to save money, I need it to be fixed ^^

Seizhin you must be very young and not terribly bright. I think many of us know what your problem is.

Turn off your device completely and switch back on, that often sorts minor issues with in-app purchases. Contact iTunes support about your account issues. My account has had issue twice and iTunes support unblocked it twice within a day or so and refund any purchase that you you did not receive. It is really easy and does work.

Thanks for trying to help, but you must not bother to read my summation of the problem, nor do you even bother to do any research on a similar problem. I'm very surprised you jumped into conclusion and end up giving a wrong solution, which none of them worked.

In fact, I've done what you said first thing when the problem occurred.

You must not know anything about the Gem Purchase, in fact, I contacted iTunes support and the Gem Purchase in Clash of Clan have nothing to do with iTunes.
The code for the Gem Purchase is a 3rd party purchase, meaning, all purchase is to be directed to SuperCell. Only SuperCell can sort out the problem and not iTunes.
I confirmed this with the iTunesStaff staff, as my previous problematic purchase from Square-Enix was refunded by iTunes after it was unusable. This time, only the SuperCell can solve the problem.

Below is the copy of the email with iTunesStaff (Censored part of the code)

Same for me

I'v got exactly the same problem! Gem icons have been gray for days now. I constantly have to enter my iTunes ID and even though I have reinstalled the game twice, the problem still remains. The iTunes support also directed me to contact the game creators. This is probably a bug snitching in since the Halloween release?

Purchase problem!

Hi, I had the same problem yesterday, I am always asked for my Apple Password and I am not able to buy gems. I read all the responses but I think there is no solution for this issue. Same here... Shaded grey box, can't buy. Gems even tough I have before... And that stupid apple ID pop up.... MY solution. Call apple and get a new device. Called apple... Made them send me a replacement. You figur out what to tell them.. I did. Obviously this forum doesn't help, so I am done with it... Supercell support can suck it.

Same glitch on gem purchase

I have the same glitch regarding gem purchase. At first I couldn't even see the gem purchase options in the store. And yes, my in game app purchase option is on bla bla bla the "help" posted by SC was lame. Then I saw a post regarding creating a new apple id and game center account, attaching coc to the new gc account, clearing the multi task memory, deleting the coc app and then reinstalling it. Amazing it worked, I could see the gem purchase options. But then the confirmation would pop up and disappear in a millisecond..I made sure pop up blocker was off etc.. So then I logged back on original apple id and the purchase confirmation appeared and I got the gems in game. I have tried again to go thru these steps to get more gems with limited success, no rhyme or reason it worked one more time. I refuse to go thru so much aggregation and wasted time to SPEND $$$$$ it's amazing I even want to and CAN'T and to top it off, NO ONE REPLIES to emails, posts and pms.
And now today, the clan chat and clan list is bugged..it's blank...about to just move on, which is a shame as I really like this game.

About this problem!

Hello, I had the same problem a few days ago and I wrote to SuperCell and Apple Support, finally my problem was solved by the apple team I think. Today I opened the game and there was no problem. Gamers who has the same problem, should write to the apple support. Thanks

Please feel free to explain the sudden fix in more detail. Did you just start app one day and you could purchase gems? Could you even see the gem purchase options in shop before, because I can't. Did you get sent an email or was it added when you started app? Do you use iPhone or iPad? Your post doesn't really help or add much as it is now.

Happened on my friend's iPad, his device was jailbroken.
It has nothing to do with the jailbreak btw, but if you're on the same boat try turning off iapcracker / any tweaks that try to exploit the in-app purchase.

If this is the only thing that caused the problem, then no wonder there's no reply from mods. (Or did I miss it?)

iapcracker / such won't do anything though. As far as I'm aware, COC is server-based.

Why would you dig this up? This thread is done and the glitch has been fixed a long time ago!!!

The JB'd stuff usually doesn't make the option to purchase disappear, that's usually the device restrictions/IAP settings.

As it says in the sticky:
