I understand that the troops in you war zone clan castle base are different ones from you regular play base.
but after you have a clan war and your clan has filled up youe Clan castle with troops on the war zone clan castle and the war ends what happens to those troops?
They are gone.
I'm not sure that is the case, after our first war and when we got ready to start our new war just as soon as our leader started the preparation day I checked my CC and it had troops in it left over from last time it was not full it was missing 5 spots but it had troops and when it came time to fill it up I only got 5 more Archers and my clan leader told me that he only put in 5 because I already had some guys. is this a bug?

Your clan castle troops from the war disappear after the battle day is over, their only purpose is to defend your base on the Battle Day.
They grow weary from fighting and go back to their homes to rest and play with their children
