I submitted a 2 out of 5 review for the game. Here's what I said:
"There is widespread [rule breaking] in Clash of Clans, because of a fundamental flaw in the game. You would be best to avoid this app, unless the flaw get fixed at some point. The company has no estimate on when this "airplane mode" exploit will be fixed.
Also, everything builds too slowly unless you use your real money to speed things up.
Not Recommended."

There is a scouting function in Clan Wars unlike normal gameplay, so planning an attack is easier than normal gameplay..so why have a 30sec coundown timer in Clan Wars? Attack means 'Attack' an added confirmation message would mean accidentally hitting the Attack button is avoided..the intermittent disconnection or lost connection fixes ingame would still apply.

Why are people so upset about this?
I use android so don't have the option to (only heard it's for apple users, but pray tell if you can do it with an android phone. Doesn't mean I'll use it but it's still interesting to know that I have the option to), but I don't really mind people doing it on me? It's just a game really. And compared to a lot of foul play that I'm sure goes on in every game, this is just a very small issue. And it's just really being able to do a good raid right? A TH8 will never be able to 3 star a maxed TH10 with infernos no matter how many practices he gets.
If you think it's unfair that your enemy is doing it and you have the option to do it, then do it yourself. If both of you are doing it, then it's fair, no?
People are upset about it because its basically c-h-e-a-t-i-n-g. Yes its just a silly game in the grand scheme of things, but a lot of people play it, a lot of people want to play it fairly.Quote:

So I just studied and did a proper paper. I scored within the 90s without having to ♥♥♥♥♥ and without the guilt of trying to not score so well, I scored better than the last exam. And I still maintained my rank.
What I'm saying is, if you're good you're good. Doesn't matter if you ♥♥♥♥♥ed or not, or whether the others did.

Oh, and paper difficulty was the same I think. Or at least the average results in school was the same. So we can at least assume ceteris paribus in this instance.

I'm going to admit that with CW I have discovered that I am definitely a farmer and not a warrior and that I basically suck at attacking strong bases to beat them for 2 stars rather than just get to the storages and not bother about the cups at all. Even when I was pushing last I was only one starring bases mostly by the time i got to master II and above, and that was with some nexting most of the time to get a base that I was more confident with, that maybe didn't have heroes awake or what have you..
2 or 3 starring ultra strong bases in CW is almost impossible for me.. most of the bases that I am supposed to beat would be absolute insta-nexts as far as I am concerned.. but you have to try. I think most of the people on the forums are farmers (of course there are some very talented attackers also) and they are in the same boat... and I suspect this is why this exploit is being so widely used, no one wants to let their clan down.
However.. I would rather fail at a CW battle than repeatedly try over and over to perfect my attack, and get the stars... but that is just me. I would like to treat the CW battles as a learning experience, (arbeit a rather stressful and public one!) and hope that with advice from clannies and learning from my mistakes, I will eventually get better at attacking so that I am not letting people down.
There will be a school of thought I am sure, that all the people using exploits are just accelerating their learning experiences, but my own opinion is that this still doesn't make it right as the playing field in each war is not level...

There could be a strategy behind what troops you have in your clan castle.
I don't want to do it anyways, most bases I raid are garbage or copycat bases. If people can practice on mine that levels the playing field when i would have an advantage otherwise.
