Hello forumites! In this thread, I will be telling you all you need to know about Forum Elite, what/who it involves, what it is and more! So please, sit back, put the kettle on and take 5 minutes out of your busy schedules to read through this post, to make sure you understand everything about this great forum event.

So some if you may know me and others may not. I may not have even close to the best post count here but I assure you I'm quite active on these forums and do my best to help other people in game and out of game. So recently I know that Ryan has decided to retire from clash and I thought that it would be a great idea to continue on the heritage of forum elite. This is the 3rd Forum Elite event and we expect it to go as planned!!This thread will be made far ahead of time so we don't create confusion and so it runs smoothly. I've also used Ryan's thread for FE2 as a template on this as he did an excellent job!

What is Forum Elite?
Put simply, Forum Elite is a week long trophy push event organised and participated by members of the Clash of Clans Forum. The main goal is to earn as many trophies as we can and the main aim is to have as much fun as possible while doing it. We want you guys to smash some records, make some friends, and show those trophy hunters out there that the forum farmers mean business!

When is the next Forum Elite?

Who can participate?
Us! The forumers! Whatever age or level, put your name down to join in the fun! Who knows, maybe you'll even get to play with the big boys and witness some crazy high level gameplay!

Who is in charge?
Essentially there are no specific people in charge of the event but a number of active forum members work together behind the scenes to try and ensure all details are worked out and it's as smooth and enjoyable for everyone as possible. Forum Elite III is being looked after by Nickroge, Adamantan, AllyBug, and a few other very helpful volunteers.

How many clans will there be?
Well, after a discussion, we came to the conclusion that there will be a max of 3 clans depending on the #'s we get for signups. We will also have 20-30 alternates and they will be brought in if anyone decides to not participate. We will leave the signups open for a week and then the top 100 players will be selected.

How are players selected?
Players will be placed into clans dependant on their trophy record. But this doesn't really mean anything. This is just an easier way to do it, as high level players need those CC troops, they are critical for offence and defence up there. At the end of each 24 hour period, players from all clans will be promoted/demoted. So, say someone in the first clan had 2500 cups, and someone in the second had 3000, the guy with 2500 would get demoted so to speak, and the guy with 3000, promoted, vis versa in all clans, that way we can end with the best possible result.

Who will lead the clans?
The first clan will by led by Adamantan himself. As this is a community event, we want everyone to mingle together and have the best experience possible.The other clans leaders are yet to be decided, and will be chosen by the Forum Elite Staff, of course it would be easy to make a poll and have the 4 most popular lead, but it's not as easy as that, those four candidates could all be capable of 3200 and beyond and therefore want to be in the first clan. So it will take a bit of time, but once we have made a decision we'll be sure to let you know who your leader is!

What do I do during the event?
Once you have arrived in your designated clan, please sit tight for at least the first day, so that the leaders can tick everyone off. After that you will be free to visit other clans, but not 'hop', as this just makes everyone's lives a living hell. Maybe go once a day if you really need to, but always make sure to ask permission in advance. If your leader asks you to move clans, please do so, as we want to keep drama to a minimum during this event.

I can't play the whole week but can I come and donate? / Visiting
Absolutely! We will try to leave space in each of the clans for people to just drop in and donate troops. Come whenever you can and donate whatever troops people ask for. This will also enable players to save their precious Elixir for building their own troops :-)
Visitors are always welcome! If you can't participate for any reason, feel free to drop by any of the clans when there is a space, we love company, but make sure to bring some goodies!

Yes Ryan retired and i wanted to continue he heritage so i brought along ally and adam to make things happen

The last Forum Elite was in February. 2 months ago. Thats way too soon! If we do it every 2 months, it would lose its appeal.

Instead of making a sign up thread right off the bat, try making a poll and seeing if:

1. The community thinks its time for another one.

If you actually read the thread you would see that the date of the event is taking place in Early July. I am simply trying to do something nice for the community and continue the heritage of Forum Elite. Myself, Ally and Adamantan are all here to better the community and we are trying to create a fun eventful atmosphere.

Tbh there is really no specific leader. Myself, Adam, and Ally are all in this together trying to continue a great comp. I am simply the one who posted the information.

Forum Elite has worked in the past because it has had dedicated, knowledgeable and helpful forumers running it. The community needs to decide when not just one person. Also if you set it for July all the momentum will have died off. You need to find the perfect balance... Not too soon where you cant get ready but not to late everyone has forgotten about it! My 2c though. You need a lot more preparation and time before doing this... And copying Ryan's thread and changing a few names and words around.

hey can I sign up now? I have school on the 21 and 22 and extracurricular acctivicties on both days so im not free on eather days. also I want to participate im wondering if u accept lv 54th7 people. also will there be wars when we all meet togeather?????

Thank you for your input ranger. First off are you saying that the 3 of us aren't dedicated, knowledgeable or helpful forumers? I do believe that the dates may be changed because of momentum and thats a great point. Ryan's thread was used because he did such an amazing job on it and it's hard to do better. Beleive me we are fully prepared to organize this event and make the best of it. I think ppl are interested in participating in FE abd thats what makes this such a great fun filled community event.

This needs to really be planned well in advance, but by people who have experience organizing things and are good leaders. During the last one, I ended up quitting because everyone else left. This was due to poor planning and making too many clans. IMO, we need to hold off on another one of these for a while.

No I'm not saying that but unfortunately in today's society a very high value is placed on post count so sometimes the sheep that follow people round here will more readily follow forumers with a high post count. Its the sad truth

The way to apply will be with your IGN, forum name, and your max # of trophies. Signups will be open for roughly a week starting on the 22nd. We choose the ppl with the top trophy records that apply to take place in the event as our goal is to get as high on the leader boards as possible

Yes sadly it is the truth nowadays. Many good forumers aren't respected enough because of post count imo.

Lego i may not have experience organizing things here on forums but in real life i do. Im dedicated to making this fun and eventful as well as ally and adam. You also cant just assume im not a good leader as you have never met me before, I also assure you that we will try to make this one better then the last as we wont take so many people like last time which was very hard to organize for ryan

I never said that you weren't any of those things; I simply stated that one must have those traits in order to pull this off. If you want to organize this, awesome, but I'm saying it isn't something that happens overnight, or even in a month. It will take a long while of preparation, not to mention keeping the public interested. LSS, good luck.

Good luck mate. FE is a signature event and has always been superbly executed. Its Ryan's legacy if you will.

YOU will need some buy in from 'big forumers' or this aint gonna come off the ground. I also suggest you poll the community first and coordinate this with the Summer push and the Youth push. Considering how busy CW keeps everone...who knows if ppl want to do a push so soon.

I will help where I can, however, I was am just sharing my concerns, and thoughts...

I'm up for it!!

This will be my 3rd Forum Elite and everyone has been a blast :) Bizarrely the last Forum Elite seems ages ago, but maybe that is just me.. A good date would be around July time. Hope this is pulled of, like Ryan he done a grand job.

I agree with Grem. The 2nd Forum Elite which was just recently, took place a year after the first one. And then you are having another Forum Elite about a couple months after the last one! There's no rush to make another Forum Elite, but otherwise good luck

When the time is right this will be great. But I don't think now is the right time. There are too many forum events at the moment meaning this won't get the attention it deserves.

Agreed, There's a lot of things trying to happen all at once. I know the desired date is not till the summer, its going to be hard to organize with all these other events happening. I'd like to help out though once there's confirmation of what's going to happen.

Thank you all for your excellent input, it really means a lot. I've come to the conclusion that everyone wants the next FE to be later and there are a lot of forum events going on at once. I feel that once a team is assembled in the FE3 Organizers thread that we can take our time making the next FE sometime later in the summer which was originally my thought. Gremlin I'm just trying to do my best to continue and organize this great event, the true leaders of FE are the participants of the event. -Nickroge

After taking everyone's input here into account, the organiser has agreed its best to hold off for a while.
This will be going ahead, but just not right now.
