Look on one of daddy's vids he has a no-zap th7 guide. Zapping is frowned upon because it is cheap, but it alsp hurts the zapper more than the zappee. The wait time is more than it would take to do the actual work and farm the DE legit

I think (speaking from someone who, I confess, has partaken of the process) one of the reasons that people zap DE at town hall 7 is that most of the DE loot seems to be in the hands of Town Hall Nines and their double Dark Elixir Drills. There is rarely more than maybe 1 or 2 hundred in most non-farming starrable bases at that level.

If the TH 9s have dark elixir, how does one get it with a TH7 army? The only other solution I could come up with was to find a base with loot still in the drills, since those usually are ill-protected.

If you go to gold 2 you will find plenty of noob TH 9 people. That's how I farmed my Burger King as a TH 7.

That's where I am right now, actually. I'll check on that.

If that's true, perhaps this knowledge will help me farm my Barb King level 6-10 and all the DE troop upgrades, so thanks.

EDIT: At 1649 trophies, you're so right. How did I not notice that before?

Zapping is definitely an immoral behavior but it is super-effective on farming dark elixir in a steady and quick rate.

Unfortunately, there isn't a rule on zapping behavior. If people zap you, you zap them back, simple as that.

However the attitude I mentioned above will result in a vicious cycle, my suggestion would be making lightning spell less effective on storages.
