Dumping Source for Elixir

As a level 10 townhall player I find it hard to spend my elixir. I am always full on elixir and raids go to waste as I cycle through gold and my elixir stays full. Becoming a vending machine for level six wizards for the clan is becoming quite tedious and i'd like to be able to upgrade my base instead of wasting it. Army camps(maxed), Drills(maxed), DE storage(maxed),ect. The amount of upgrades/purchases gold can do compared to elixir is a little unbalanced and should be fixed or balanced. The only balance is the research lab but is shared with D/E so for long periods of time as dark troops are being upgraded elixir will be overflowing! There needs to be a dumping source for elixir as gold has walls. Gold will always be spent because walls take an eternity(or lots of gems) to get them maxed or even close to maxed. Elixir needs to have a source like this. Maybe elixir can contribute to walls, or more decorations for the base can be purchased with elixir. Or customization of the King and Queen's outfits or anything of the sort. But right now, elixir is collecting dust and there is absolutely nothing to do with it.

Plentiful elixir means always having it available for attacks. This is a good thing. Essentially, attacking is the act of converting excess elixir into gold, de, and trophies.

It is not good if you don't want to be attacked for elixir. You can waste some elixir by making a spell and then stop making the spell. That wastes 50% of the elixir used. So around 20,000 or something every spell.

I strongly agree with this post. I've been playing for over 2 years now and have studied the loot system for a long time. In previous posts from supercell the elixir circulation is much greater than gold meaning elixir is just being wasted. There either needs to be a higher level storage or a different alternative when it comes to spending elixir. I have NO idea why anyone would want to create spells then cancel them, that is simply just a waste.

What difference do these attacks make? You don't need it anyway. In fact defense of other storages is much easier if you don't have to worry about elixir.

Your not understanding what I'm saying. There are many different ways to spend gold, I can make a powerful army after powerful army and I'll still be elixir capped. I also am constantly donating to my clan mates in war as well as when they request for troops and there is hardly any dent in my elixir. They need to come up with different ways to spend elixir, that simple

This does need to be in the game for those who need it. (I am a new th9 so i can not get enough of any loot!)

What do you mean "you don't need it." That's completely irrelevant to the post. I don't want to cast out my elixir and not have a use for it. It needs to be just as important as gold. I don't want to forget about elixir because it makes no sense to not have a use for 1/3 of the games resources. There NEEDS to be something PRODUCTIVE with elixir. Not making spells and then canceling them. And certainly not forgetting about it completely.

Well what use is gold (besides search fees) when everything is upgraded? Walls and traps are the only things I can think of (walls just take a long time, but every wall can be upgraded). So maybe have elixir be part of the search fee? I don't think that would help low level players though. Although it could be an option for what to use. Elixir is used only for attacking so it makes sense that it would cost elixir to search. There could just be a sinkhole that you throw loot into and hope something cool happens (like the daily chance wheel mastermind suggested except better things happen the more loot you throw into it). That would probably mess up loot gains for medium and high level players. There also could be a fortification option that increases health or decreases damage taken that costs elixir and has to be repaired or replaced with elixir (like rearming traps). There could be levels for it (also like traps). Just a few suggestions.

true, obviously no resource is useful after the base is maxed. but most good players and op clearly know that the demand for gold is far higher than elixir and elixir is capped a lot earlier than gold. only a few have truly farmed their lvl 11 walls, most can just dump extra gold there after being done with defenses. You finish elixir upgrades a lot sooner and there is really no where to use it without utterly wasting like making spells and canceling or leaving it out. OP needs a way to use the elixir like the walls is for gold

I hat e having excess loot, especially while pushing because then your base is now more valuable when others attack you making you loose trophies more often

Now at TH9 I've maxed everything that uses elix except for a few troops and spells. I've raided bases with full collectors which i really hate because i only need 60,000 of it, the rest is gone to waste. If i could, i'd leave them alone and attack other structures leaving the full collectors for someone else to loot.

Balance of elix is needed...

why not split the cost of walls to 50/50 gold and elixer would that not create a balance to the system? Truly walls take FOREVER to upgrade I often have an overload of elixer and I'm only TH8 currently. I tend to burn it away using pekkas and dragons just to keep my elixer levels down. But the build times to make these troops id outweighed by what I could have done with that time while I'm farming for gold to upgrade my walls.

Perhaps an upgrade to the walls as suggested in a few other threads will work with elixer creating a dump source for the E. each wall could be given a certain number of visual enhancements and cost elixer to do it. I'm just throwing this idea out there as an option.

Or the walls are given a damage enhancement upgrades are similar as walls IE no build time and the walls all require a recharge of elixer to keep them able to damage units. in 6 hour increments. Lvl 1 holds a single charge. with an increase of 1 charge per 2 levels for 6 levels. The cost of the charge depends on the level of the wall enhancement. But let's go with 1000 Elixir for one charge of one wall segment of wall enhancement level 1. and an incremental increase to 2000, 5000, 10000, 15000, 20000

While the the enhancements cost elixir equal to that of lvl 5 wall and up to lvl 11 walls.

Why would you want to dump you elixir? It's good to keep because then you don't need to worry about it late. We don't need a dump

yeah we do I'm thinking about the future of my game right now. NOW i don't need it but I will in 6 months

if i plan some good attacks I can get at least 2 million gold and 1.5 million elixir in just a day of periodic attacks.

I would hate it if there are a dumping source for elixir as there are walls for gold now.

I farm in crystal and the army i am using costs roughly 100k elixir and 500 DE. Taking out a th 10 would usually warrant spell use and that could easily add another 100k elixir to the calculation. I attack about 5 to 6 times a day lately and usually use all my offensive capability on TH 10s that holds capped/near capped gold and elixir. Normally I would end up with 2 mil gold, around 5 to 10k of DE and less than 1 million elixir a day. On some days, my elixir reserves seemed static while gold and DE got their fair share of increase. On some days, I would solely focus on stealing elixir, using a DE based army attacking villages with high elixir but little gold.

Finding villages with lots of elixir is easy ATM compared to villages with lots of gold or DE just because the later two have a "dumping source" that are walls and heroes.

As I said, I would hate it if elixir got a dumping source as it would be more difficult to find villages with a large stockpile of elixir to raid.

I know that when I have no other need for elixir other than training armies, I would still raid for gold and leave my capped elixir for anyone worthy of taking it. The dumping source for elixir is your max capacity of elixir storage, and I know I have dumped/lost millions of elixir back when I was in the end of each TH levels.

I have the same elixer problem as you do mdude. My townhall is level 10 and I have been playing for a year and a half. As i reached the end of the game and finished most of my upgrades my elixir sits stagnant in my storages. It makes me feel guilty because friends at low levels complain that they struggle to acquire any and I attack with full storages. Meaning any elixer I get is wasted and I took it from someone and couldn't even hold it. My gold is always in and out and if sc could make a place to dumb elixir it would make me feel a lot better.
