Dumping Source for Elixir

As a level 10 townhall player I find it hard to spend my elixir. I am always full on elixir and raids go to waste as I cycle through gold and my elixir stays full. Becoming a vending machine for level six wizards for the clan is becoming quite tedious and i'd like to be able to upgrade my base instead of wasting it. Army camps(maxed), Drills(maxed), DE storage(maxed),ect. The amount of upgrades/purchases gold can do compared to elixir is a little unbalanced and should be fixed or balanced. The only balance is the research lab but is shared with D/E so for long periods of time as dark troops are being upgraded elixir will be overflowing! There needs to be a dumping source for elixir as gold has walls. Gold will always be spent because walls take an eternity(or lots of gems) to get them maxed or even close to maxed. Elixir needs to have a source like this. Maybe elixir can contribute to walls, or more decorations for the base can be purchased with elixir. Or customization of the King and Queen's outfits or anything of the sort. But right now, elixir is collecting dust and there is absolutely nothing to do with it.

Plentiful elixir means always having it available for attacks. This is a good thing. Essentially, attacking is the act of converting excess elixir into gold, de, and trophies.

It is not good if you don't want to be attacked for elixir. You can waste some elixir by making a spell and then stop making the spell. That wastes 50% of the elixir used. So around 20,000 or something every spell.

I strongly agree with this post. I've been playing for over 2 years now and have studied the loot system for a long time. In previous posts from supercell the elixir circulation is much greater than gold meaning elixir is just being wasted. There either needs to be a higher level storage or a different alternative when it comes to spending elixir. I have NO idea why anyone would want to create spells then cancel them, that is simply just a waste.

What difference do these attacks make? You don't need it anyway. In fact defense of other storages is much easier if you don't have to worry about elixir.

Your not understanding what I'm saying. There are many different ways to spend gold, I can make a powerful army after powerful army and I'll still be elixir capped. I also am constantly donating to my clan mates in war as well as when they request for troops and there is hardly any dent in my elixir. They need to come up with different ways to spend elixir, that simple

This does need to be in the game for those who need it. (I am a new th9 so i can not get enough of any loot!)

What do you mean "you don't need it." That's completely irrelevant to the post. I don't want to cast out my elixir and not have a use for it. It needs to be just as important as gold. I don't want to forget about elixir because it makes no sense to not have a use for 1/3 of the games resources. There NEEDS to be something PRODUCTIVE with elixir. Not making spells and then canceling them. And certainly not forgetting about it completely.

Well what use is gold (besides search fees) when everything is upgraded? Walls and traps are the only things I can think of (walls just take a long time, but every wall can be upgraded). So maybe have elixir be part of the search fee? I don't think that would help low level players though. Although it could be an option for what to use. Elixir is used only for attacking so it makes sense that it would cost elixir to search. There could just be a sinkhole that you throw loot into and hope something cool happens (like the daily chance wheel mastermind suggested except better things happen the more loot you throw into it). That would probably mess up loot gains for medium and high level players. There also could be a fortification option that increases health or decreases damage taken that costs elixir and has to be repaired or replaced with elixir (like rearming traps). There could be levels for it (also like traps). Just a few suggestions.
