DE Zapping Question

So a couple days ago, as I was saving for an AQ upgrade, I got zapped by a TH7 with a level 2 lightning spell for 285 DE.

I thought, you know what... I wonder if he's saving for BK and I could take that back and knock his trophies down (stay out of C2 please, you should zap at 2000 :p). Anyway, I went to his base and didn't see a DE Storage anywhere. I looked for a couple of minutes thinking that perhaps I missed it, but I never saw it. I eventually gave up on revenge, as much as DE Zapping grinds my gears, 285 is a miniscule amount and not worth my time anyway, even if he had a storage.

So, for days I thought it was a funny DE raid fail. Then today I actually thought "wait, is that even possible". I have since visited the attackers base and found that they do now have a lvl 1 DE storage. As it's been several days since I last checked though, I'm wondering if that was maybe built after I last checked.

Anyway, to make a long explanaition short, is it possible to lose DE to a zapper that doesn't have a storage? I know he can't get anything without one, but could I still lose DE if he zaps it without a storage? Or, did I just waste 5 mins of my life glancing past a DE storage that was already there?

Yes you lose de but he doesn't get any

You lose the DE and it's counted towards the opponent's Heroic Heist achievment. But since he has no Storage for the DE, it basically gets "deleted".

So essentially, he is making the game's DE supply drier :rolleyes:

Haha, he's also wasting elix and drying that up for everyone :).

I'm usually offering up 1500+ DE in my defensive replays, so minus 285 isn't hurting the economy too much. He left you plenty if you want to come try to take it!:)

At least it was only 285. I lost a little more than that to a zapper. A th6 zapper *Facepalm*

When I was th7 I would zap th9 & th10, even 8's when I didn't have a DE storage. More of a revenge thing though. It was my way of getting back at them and wasting their precious DE.
Its not as though I could have revenges and won.

Im only DE zapping because I'm saving for BK. And i have a storage, so hopefully people respect me and dont revenge me.

Haha good luck with that. I got my BK by zapping a little bit a few weeks ago and I'm still getting revenged for taking people's DE. Apparently people really like their DE.
