I agree with this, but since it is dark elixer, shouldn't it increase the power of the affected? I haven't obtained dark elixer yet, but from what I heard, troops with dark elixer are tougher. Just an thought

Youve obviously put a lot of thought into this, and nice to see ur taking suggestions onboard! Great idea but still needs some polishing/ constructive criticism. A new trap needs to be able to affect more than just the troop that activates the trap. Imagine spending 1000s of DE on a trap to have one wb or goblin affected by it, seems a bit pointless like that. Now what if the trap was activated whenever an infect able enemy troop came within range, the same range as the giant bombs have, but the DE trap stays active untill it has "turned" a set amount of your attackers troops against them...say a total of 24housing spaces for a lvl1 DE bomb. Eg. an archer takes one space and a wizard takes 4. Why 24 space you ask??? 24 spaces means the PEKKA and golem would be unharmed because they take more than 24spaces to train. Would a healer be able to heal bewitched troops back to normal. Also how about the witch herself is immune to the trap but the skeletons she raises are not..? After all technically the skeletons are dead purple elix troops. Final thought for now...once upgraded, could there be an option to set the bomb to ground or air targets like a xbow can?? Interested in knowing what everyone elses thoughts and or improvements :)
