Getting bored

I'm at level 44...have tons of coins and diamonds( yes I got sucked in and bought some when the discount chicken visited me). Anyway the only thing at the end of the tunnel in the candy machine...which I don't think I'm going to buy.
The only thing I really do is help( with the lovely 3 crate limit:mad:) my friends. But a lot of them still accept the the sugar & dairy boat,(Iwonder if they know you can cast it off instead)so I'm sorry to say I can't do a lot there.
I did read the about the new "update" let's hope the balance is better and yes the leader boards are dumb but I don't pay attention to them..soooooo back to my point...I's anyone else bored with the game...I think we need to production machines and new thing to make...or something??.

It's a cycle.

1. New machine introduced.
2. New machine acquired.
3. New machine used.
4. New machine loses luster.
5. Request for new machine because of boredom.
6. Return to step one

Patience.

I've just got level 45 and wondering what is going to keep my interest in the future so hoping some of the fantastic suggestions made by forum members are implemented i.e. fishing, bigger selection of fruit trees and crops resulting in more cooking/making options.

I'm still expanding my land to have a big re-arrange so for now I still have things to aim for and I'm in no hurry so I don't buy diamonds just need lots of patience...

I'm still in the early stages of the game and only just got my boat so I'm still interested, but I have played other games, Cityville, The Simpsons, Sims Free, Smurfs, and there is always a certain stage you get to where it does become boring. You've got everything where you want it, you've got loads of cash and suddenly the 'excitement' of the game isn't there any more. That's when I usually give up and find something new to play.

Supercell are always looking at the ideas section even if they don't always get responses for new updates.
I always try and have a few hundred thousands in the bank just incase.
Just play at your leisure and maybe try and update barns and silo for the boat orders and or for any future updates.
Sorry we can't give any specific insight as the mods only know once its in the works and then its announced here.
Many are finding most of the fun trading with each other and relaxed chatting on the forum in the main threads.
I personally feel that the forum is one of the main things that keep the game updated so keep the ideas coming :)

what is really killing the game is the leader board

then all things that came with it...

1)leader board
2) boat price to bring it back was raised
3) to "control" the leader board, a crate limit was applied

wrong moves by supercell

people used to spend more time playing trying to fill other peoples crates
now they dont have/cant do that anymore, therefore less time playing.

Since not being able to buy much through newspaper and not wanting to trade, it is getting boring

yep...i have hundreds of neighbors and rarely find a crate (besides sugar and dairy) to fill. My barn is filled with stuff i cannot rid other than selling to random players which is no fun. I think maybe us folks over a certain level don't spent money on diamonds and they are hoping we quit to make space for new players who will fall for the diamond purchases more often???

I'm at level 67 and I will admit it is getting a little boring. When I go to help boats all I find is a need for cream, sugars and syrups... Now the newspaper only sells bacon and eggs...I just saw a whole paper with only bacon and eggs advertised-even when I look inside the bacon and egg advertisement, they only have bacon and eggs in all their bins :(

I saw one of those yesterday too, never seen one before... Do you think it's down to the numbers playing, hoarding, off-line trading etc. the DD for me has definitely changed this last week or so.

Next time the discount Chicken visits send it to your nearest KFC.

I agree that it's getting boring now...I'm Lvl 45...and idk how long would it take me to buy that candy machine...wanna achieve co-op but with this 3 crate limit? It's seems near impossible...I did 1 boat today and sent 3 away...nothing to do other than looking at the DD with full of b&e :( which is so sad....I guess it's time to get back to real life...

Same here. :/ I used scan through B&E DDs for goodies "hidden" in the shops, but now I don't bother opening them at all because it seems that an all B&E DD really is just B&E

Yep, I used to do the same. Now it's just what it says "Bacon and Eggs". That's never happened to me before.

Trying to expand my barn to 375 and am having trouble for the first time finding any materials. It's disheartening for sure.:confused:

I'm only at level 33 and I'm starting to get bored with it as well. I can't find the tools I need to make it more fun, ie expansion materials and things for the mine. I have things that I'd want to buy, but if I can't find or get what I need to be able to move up in the game, I'll never get there. Seems when I first started playing, dynamite, duct tape, etc, was readily given away by harvesting or whatever, but now it seems to be next to nothing. :confused:

At this point, I actually feel restless playing Hay Day. Hubby keeps asking what's wrong. Before I would be so absorbed in the game that it was completely quiet in the room and he wouldn't even be able to get a reply out of me when asking something. Now I'm shaking legs and sighing all the time.

I already have all the machines and more than halfway into mastering my candy machine. Got coins and nothing to buy. Before I would spend time going through all my 300+ nbrs 1-3 times a day and check boats, trees and stalls. When the exclamation tab was introduced I had so much fun saving time to go through every single farm. But like they say, when something seems too good to be true, it usually is. Supercell felt we were having more fun than they intended for us to have so they introduced the 3 crate limit. Problem solved! Unfortunately I still have Tom and don't wanna waste him so I go on every other hr to send him on an errend and fill up the queues. Aside from that, I'm on hiatus mode until next update ..

I think you just explain how most of Hay Day players day's are
including myself.. the game it's too addicting
This game is pure, psychologically engineered, highly addicting. Its a time waster. Save your real money!

im not saying to stop playing the game, just do something distracting every once in a while

All right it's official, I'm bored also. I'm almost ready to tackle a white sugar boat-with a jam boat chaser.

I was actually bored a few days ago, just didn't want to admit it.

This game does get boring at times. For me it always happens at dinner time.

We are all just chomping at the bit to see if things get better. I think there is a lot of testiness in the air.. anticipation of something great or something awful..

Just remember to breathe everyone. SC will make their choice on who they want as their clients soon enough...

My thoughts exactly, except that I'm not nearly as far along as you are, so I can imagine that it will only get worse.

At this point, it just feels empty. I log in, tap machines and animals, obsessively check the newspaper to see if it has refreshed and, if so, if it has parts in it. I can't interact with others in game in a direct way. I fill the few crates from my neighbors that I can, load machines, stare blankly at the screen wondering why I'm still doing this?

Honestly, I think that, for me, it's just my personality. I want a game that I can sit down with and become engrossed in for a few hours, indulge both my analytical and creative sides, chat to others, etc. And I have a PC game that fits the bill. Maybe the iOS "social" game thing isn't for me. I'd rather sit down and play for awhile, then be able to walk away from the game and go about my day or evening without thinking about it, than to log in repeatedly a billion times a day for 5 minutes at a time, wait, wait more, wait some more, and bore myself to death because I want to be actively doing something instead of waiting (and surfing the paper doesn't count.) Not to mention interrupting my normal activities because, oh gosh, the cows need milking, Tom is ready, and I'd better keep those machines running for the masteries!

Which brings me to my other complaint. Games like this do appeal to the compulsive part of me. That's why these games are successful. So, it keeps me coming back, yet I realize after awhile that I'm not having fun. I'm doing it just because. Because why? I don't even know anymore. To get that last machine, to finish my design, to save x amount of money, to have x amount of barn space. But it never really ends. It's all the same thing, day in and day out. And I never truly feel like I'm getting anywhere.

And then, I end up feeling chained to my iPad, and isolated. Either that stupid thing, or my phone, go everywhere with me. I'm tapping while watching a movie, while eating dinner, while sitting on the patio, while "relaxing" in bed. And, after awhile, I realize that I'm never really present...never really in the moment. I'm usually only half there while tapping away. And, sure, I could exercise moderation. Or I could just break the cycle and walk away. I mean, I'm really not getting anything out of it at this point, the barn will never be big enough, I'll always be searching for parts, I'll always want to re-hire Tom when his time is up (which entails keeping up the money investment), and round and round we go.

I know that this probably sounds weird, and that maybe I'll get flamed, but that's OK. I'm not saying that the game is bad. On the contrary, it's a great game with several aspects that I like. But I'm not sure that it's a good fit for me personally. I haven't made any decisions yet, but I've definitely started to limit my play time, as has my husband. I think he's ready to just delete the app, if he hasn't already, but I'm hanging on for whatever reason.

Long story short, I'm bored too. :p

Ok, I'm slightly weird but I set goals for myself. I'm on an egg mission now. Buying all the cheap eggs nd wait for Greg to come buy them all. Like I said, I'm weird but keeps me entertained lol.

I've been selling one egg at a time, for 1 coin, and advertising it in the DD, how's that for weird. I'm going for the Citizen Kane achievement (which is the most boring one ever, lol) so I figured I'd get it one egg at a time!

So many of us have had enough! It would take simple things, well mainly sorting out the DD!, to make us happy! However I think as long as SC are making huge amounts of money nothing will change! I am gutted. Loved this game. Anyone know anything similar? And no not COC ! Just don't get that one lol!

I feel like It's gonna take forever to achieve Citizen Kane III... The 30-minute wait between two free ads on newspaper is just too long... while doing other stuffs on Hay Day, i always forget the time and tend to come back after 40-45 minutes, which makes the whole process even longer and longer!

trading kept my interest until the last few weeks when it became the same people making the same bad offers. trading was fun when it was about helping other people get what they needed while I got what I need, but now so many people commit fraud or try to get better deals then their offer or just trade to take advantage of kids that don't know they are being taken advantage of, it just isn't fun anymore. I am glad to have the friends I have to trade with and talk with that makes it still a little fun to play.

I think they are easy to make 2 ingredients...just like I see a lot of grilled tomatoes...I saw another DD today with all bacon and eggs.

Same here. It was so addicting at 1st but after last update i don't play as much as I used to. I think I spend more time here in the forum more than in the game itself. There are some nights that I didn't even bother prepare my sugar mills before sleep. Well, I really hope the next update would do something to change the current situation though otherwise I think I would very likely drop this game :(

Well I spent the day ignoring the boat parked at my dock. I opened the 3 easy ones and let my frnds&followers fill them and left it there lol
I fired Tom (lazy kid hasnt left yet - lol!) I've been happily making sugar, filling truck orders with high starsxp , making people's day by advertising a bunch of indigo and putting a land deed next to it :D and watching my boat ranking plummet! I'd race to the bottom but I'm still helping out friends and the 3 followers I have with a dock lol
Gonna relax a while and see what the next changes bring
(I agree with those above...more decorations - like the idea of paying for those with green vouchers :)
Ok then back to designing a maze, making AND selling stuff (not keeping it out of the paper because you're hoarding it for a trade)
