Upgrading multiple walls at once (My fingers hurt)
Bolded is added info in an edit
The part I hate about getting a new town hall is upgrading a ton of walls at level.
This is not really an issue for town hall levels 1-5 since you don't have enough money storage. At least I do not remeber having a big issue with it till hitting town level six to level seven.
But upgrading 50 walls to level four really made my fingers hurt and annoy the heck out of me. I think I only spent like 200 000 doing that? I have 1.5 mil of gold left with no workers free because I simply got tired of tapping my phone to death. I was sitting on four million gold and elixir while I waited for my town hall to upgrade, I had pretty much max for a town hall seven minus a few final archer tower upgrades, even a level five king. So when I hit level eight I had a lot of upgrades to submit including making the new walls not useless. I know it will not be used all the time but I am sure transitioning to a new town hall people will like to have it.
I thought because you can select a row of walls, you could upgrade the entire row of walls. I was actally shocked to find out it was not in the game already from having the ability to select rows of walls to rotate them.
Game does let you select multiple walls...

That' a good start.
How would you expect the game to respond if all the selected wall row elements were not at the same level.
1) Would you expect the game to upgrade each wall element by one level each, regardless of it's current level (provided you have the coin of course)?
2) Or would you like to select a "target level" in which to bring all wall pieces up to. In that case, any selected wall element that is already at the "target" level (or higher) would not need to be levelled up, however every other wall element could be upgraded to the target level, even if it means upgrading some wall elements by more than one level! I think this approach would save even more time for gamers working on their bases, and I don't believe it would be much more complex for the devs to implement
How/where would you expect to see the amount of coin it would cost as you select a wall row, and what would you expect if you selected a row of wall elements but did not have the coin to purchase an upgrade for each and every selected piece?
What I'm trying to show here as well, is that each "request for a new feature" needs to be considered from all possible directions including UI placement of information, intuitiveness (easily understood), indicators of success (all wall elements upgraded), and fail scenarios (not enough coin), alternate route/solution to get out of a fail scenario, etc.
New option for the walls idea
how bout instead of upgrading sections of walls you have the option to buy the walls up to a certain level instead of upgrading each one a single level at a time. you can say buy level four walls for the same amount of gold it would cost to get those wall levels there. this of course would only work with the walls. so when you get the next town all you can scroll to what level wall you want to build and just build that with out all that tapping and carpel tonal inducing madness.
same goes with upgrading existing walls buy two three four levels at once. its brilliant.
just hit me, I think its an awesome idea.
