They added the emoji keyboard to their device.
Go to Settings, General, Keyboard, Keyboards (yes, another one in the new screen), Add New Keyboard, and scroll until you find Emoji and click on it to add.
To use the secondary keyboard, click on the icon of the globe down by the space bar of the keyboard. It will bring you to your other keyboard(s).
Additionally there is a Japanese kana keyboard that allows you to put stars and things when the emoji keyboard doesn't. And to change the name in your RSS, you have to change your Game Center nickname. I can't help with Facebook. I think it uses you first name rom facebook.
I need to find the thread that explains this better.

Lisa, I just did this last night on my iPad Air, and used instructions similar to what knitgal2 listed.
Settings, General, Keyboard....etc. The built-in emoji keyboard had several tabs on it, one had hearts, one had cute animals, etc. The globe looks a lot like our global event globes, lol.
I can't get the red heart on iOS7 neither. I suspect this is something with iOS version.Quote:

I mean you can only insert red heart on older version of iOS (have to check with other forum member with iOS6),
or older version of Hay Day.

Not sure but I think the blog post linked to in the second thread says something about using the number key board. There's a picture.
Hm have iOS7 and the red heart works for me me, just checked. It is on the smiley tab, last page on it. To change the RSS name you will have to change your game center name...options - game center - there it asks me to sign in with my password and under game center profile I can change my name, add emoji like the red heart etc. (I have fish emoji :D)

Does anyone know how to add the emojis onto the actual farm name? I know it can be done to GC so they show up in your RSS but I've seen actual farm names with the pictures on. When I try to add them to my farm name, the picture shows up but after approval I get 'invalid name'. I tried looking through the other threads but I haven't found an answer... any ideas? :D
Just tried some different ways and I've had some part success with putting the emojis in the actual farm name (not changing GC name and RSS).
Directly trying to type the emoji into the farm name doesn't work as the picture doesn't show up at all, so I used the Chinese keyboard and typed out what picture I wanted in Chinese. So far a red heart, clouds, and stars seem to work without the 'invalid name' after approval. This seems like a very complicated way to get the pictures to show up...but if anyone wants to add the simplified Chinese keyboard you can give it a try. To get the red heart you have to type 'ai', stars is 'xingxing' and clouds is 'yun'.
I tried a few others like the word for bear but got the invalid name thing again. Hope this helps someone :)
edit: the horoscope signs also work.... why do these work and apple doesn't.......for a farming game haha
I changed my name in GC fine but still can't in HD. Will give your option a go Chocca!
Weird. Ok I got the chinese simplified keyboard. Went to my farm name typed in ai and got a heart. I added the heart by tapping on the red heart at the top of the keyboard but there is a problem again, I cant type anything else or add any other icons. That's it, just one heart?? Why is this so difficult when I see it all over hay day?!!!!
Any ideas?
Arh! This is why I only see 1 heart at the end of the farm name. Thats the only way to do it lol!
Yeh I have that problem too, I can only have one emoji at the end of the name. No idea how people add a few haha surely there's an easier way of doing this..
