I need to upgrade my town hall to the next level before I upgrade my gold storage. But my max for gold is less than I need to upgrade the town hall. Help!

I need to upgrade my town hall to the next level before I upgrade my gold storage. But my max for gold is less than I need to upgrade the town hall. Help!
Do you have another storage to build? Is your current storage maxed?

In order to get the maximum-storage-capacity, you must upgrade all the storages. (again, usually to max for that TH) for the current TH you are at.
I will also note, you should probably upgrade all of the troops buildings and walls for the current TH level you are at, to avoid being premature for the next town hall you are trying to get to.
If your storages are maxed for your TH level, then fill them so you can upgrade.. (but really max all the other stuff first, at least the Lab and troops, and Camps!)
