Watching clanwar replays, lots of our lesser experienced players seem to have difficultirs killing a clancastle dragon.
I am gathering strategies on how to kill a clancastle dragon therefore.
Personally, on my Mini I use rage and surround the dragon with some archers.
On my Main, I just overwhelm it during my Dragoonian raid with Minions, Dragons and a rage if needed.
What are your successfull strategies when facing a dragon in the clancastle of the defender's base ?
Spreading out archers around it.
Depends what I am raiding with. In CW I've had a dragon to deal with once, and I overwhelmed it with dragons and rage. The raid was a mass drag raid on one of those white flag TH9 bases.
I usually use archers or mins when I see a dragon in a normal raid. The biggest fails I have seen are when people try to do this and don't spread the troops out. I sometimes throw in the odd wizard for a bit of extra dps if I'm carrying a few.
I've been hoping and waring since the start and I am really struggling to get players in some of the clans I've been in to lure the cc. I saw someone get 0% on a raid on a TH3 because of the wizards and minion I put in the cc.
I like archers or minions.
However, in our last war, I lured it out with a minion then had a dragon party as I dropped 9 level 3 drags around the lonely clan castle drag.... unfortunately, it was a party pooper and didn't stick around for the fun 100%......
Using a dev. iPad you have 300 lighting spells :rolleyes:
Don't waste spells on that. 15 archers will do the trick
The beast is just dead slow. It takes a while to get it away from the defenses.
throw down some archers to attract the dragon's attacks, and spread a few wizzies, like 3-4 around it (don't clump them) and they'll take it down quickly.
Spells are unneccessary, just don't bunch archers together and spread them around the drag after being lured away from defenses, especially mortars and wiz towers.
I lure, then I make a semicircle of archers. Very effective, since the drag can't take out more than one or two at a time.
Lure then surround with archers for barch.
With giant healer I lure the use a few wizards.
