Hey everyone,
I originally posted this about a week ago in the Questions section, but unfortunately the thread got drowned by clan wars-related questions. I decided now would be a good time to post it, seeing as things have calmed down a little.
So I know that a lot of people were expecting Clan Wars to be more in the lines of multiple clan mates attacking one village (a clan village, perhaps) at the same time. Personally, I'm extremely happy and exited by what Supercell has managed to pull off; this update is everything I wanted it to be, and more.
I do have a hypothetical question, however.
How hard would it be to implement a feature that involves attacks from multiple players at the same time?
I know iPads and tablets/smartphones in general are quite behind the rest of the IT world in terms of technology, and Clash of Clans is but a simple 50mb app.
The reason I ask is because in the long-term, this could open up massive doors for new features.
For example, imagine if there were "dungeons" comprised of massive villages (owned by goblins, rogue barbarians, etc...) that Clans could coordinate an attack on for trophies or loot. So if there was a huge village that required 5 clan mates to attack, two could focus on outer defenses, one on distracting inner defenses whilst a fourth loots the collectors/storages and a fifth concentrates on eliminating the Town Hall (or boss, or other important building). It would also open the door up for some lore, because I do love lore :)
This is obviously a HUGE feature, which brings me back to my original question, could this actually possible in technical terms, today or sometime in the future?
Thank you,
-B
