Clan hoppers, why are they not being punished

I agree. We had five people leave our clan and form their own clan "misfits united". I don't care that they did it but why wait until prep day?! It's childish and there is no repercussions for the people who leave. I don't care if they leave on any day but bailing during clan wars is just dirty.

I don't think that would be fair to people looking for a good clan. What if they joined and the clan was crappy? Might have to toggle with this idea.:confused:

Stop the spam, this guy has a point. Hoppers are ruining clan wars! I really don't like it when people join my clan and just leave after getting troops. Supercell needs to do something about this, or it will get so bad that people will be leaving CoC by the thousands.

How are they determining that a clan is "crappy"? There is much you can tell about a clan without even joining. You can see how many people there are, what levels they are (and thus the kind of level troops you can expect), how active, how much they donate, what they write in the clan description... A lot can be gleaned simply from their user names! And 9 times out of 10 they arrived from global, so they must have been happy with what their recruiter was saying.

I begin to type "Hi Someone, welcome!"

...but before I've even hit 'return'...

*Someone has left the clan*

24 hour cooldown would make 'em think twice.

A 24 hour cool down would also severely hamper clan visits and for what? Because you are annoyed that people join and leave. In your scenario they aren't even taking troops or screwing up a clan war.

Who does clan visits anyway? If it messes something up for one person and one hundred thousand people are happy, who cares about that one person. It would severely help the game. This is a good idea.

Lots of people do this.

1 in a 100,000 people eh? Sounds like the hopper problem is really overblown then, either that or you see the same hoppers over and over.

Alright, 8 hours then. That scenario of course is a minor quibble, no need to repeat the more serious implications that have been stated many times already. But you want to talk about drawbacks for argument's sake? That unsightly red "Someone has left the clan" can be off putting to more desirable recruits.

And seriously, how often do you need to visit other clans? Once at the start of the season, when the donation stats reset should surely suffice. I was briefly a member of a clan that was part of a group of clans, the constant comings and goings for arbitrary reasons was infuriating.

its way too hard to track em dude and trust me, if there was a way we could tell on hoppers, somebody would mess it up

So visiting other clans or being in a family of clans isn't for you. That's fine. It is clear though, that people did visits a lot more than once a season otherwise there wouldn't be constant comings and goings right?
