Can somebody tell me how farming works? Please
Basically farming means getting the max amount of gold or de (elixir in general is less farmed because there are many gold upgrades to du) with a cheap and fast to train, for example with the Barch (Barbarians+archers) army combo.
Personally i've written a large guide for farming as a TH7/TH8 (should even work if you are a TH5/6), with an army called BAGWall, check it out if you are interested:

to farm u must not care about trophies
farming helps u collect resources to upgrade. for example a person who is usually in gold league might farm in silver league to protect his or her resources.
also leave ur town hall outside and replace it with mines, pumps, etc
another great strategy is dropping down a lot of leagues because then only the low level people in that league will be able to try to raid u i will post a example of a farming base

also raiding is a big part of it too in farming u are only raiding to get resources dont worry about getting 1 star just focus on resources
Just find an opponent with high loot available for you to steal. You should consider its base defense. Make sure you got good troops. :-)

3. Raid for resources
