So apparently censoring the word "gay" is ok to you, Hay Day? I've spent actual real dollars in this game, and as a member of the LGBT community I am extremely upset. Gay can mean anything from happy to homosexual. It certainly doesn't warrant censoring? It's not an offensive word unless you have an agenda against homosexuals or happiness? What gives, Hay Day?!
I agree, making us find phrases to describe "gay" because we just can't say gay is inherently wrong, and gives the impression that there is something profane about being gay, or having a gay time at, say, an online party. I support the removal of the word "gay" from the profanity list wholeheartedly. I have two same gender pairs of gnomes on my farm, and am proud that my farm is home to a diverse group of gnomes.
LOL Ok... you really made me laugh. You're definitely in a "gay" frame of mind today. lol Thank you for supporting such diversity. It's just such a stupid word to have on the black list. Try typing in "expecting a yes," and you'll see it even does it with spaces.
The only reson hay day censors it is because it is a family game.
I certanly agree with u both.... My best friend rl is a wonderful gay princess.... But i can see that maybe its censored cuz kids without vocabular uses it as a bad word....
But it still isn't a bad word. There are enough derogatory words that used to be (and probably still are) thrown around to slander people.Quote:

I think "gay" is an acceptable term for our LGBT friends and family members -- unlike other crude and hurtful terms that are out there. I support removing 'gay' from the block list, but would not like to see the uglier cruder terms removed.
When I was in high school we knew about gay people but never thought we had any gay people in our class. Now that we are all adults we have at least 5 gay members -- out of a graduating class of 54. Ironically some of the loudest anti-gay boys in high school are now out and living openly as gay men.
I think more acceptance of the gay people among us will short-circuit a lot of hate in our culture, and will make for healthier people.
And I think that children can be exposed to the word gay in all its meanings without making hay day family unfriendly.
News flash: My daughter has a gay friend who told everyone at school -- AND the kids were accepting and caring. We need to emulate their empathy by not acting like the word gay is offensive and needs to be ******ed out.

Agreed, there is nothing anti-family about the word gay or about being gay. My nieces have two mothers and two fathers. The mothers are married to each other and the fathers are married to each other (with separate residences of course). They are a family and all their friends know it. Kids are much more knowing and accepting than we often give them credit for.
My husband and I have been together for 27 years, and my brothers-in-law have been a couple even longer than that. :cool:
