Hi guys, it's Nathan. I want to show you guys my newest town hall 9 trophy hunting base design. Here it is.

1. Concept

The concept of this base is different than most trophy hunting bases. The town hall is on one side, protected well, and the other side has most of the other buildings.

If the attacker attacks from the town hall side, the troops would die quickly because of the many defenses. There are 2 wizard towers, 2 air defenses, 2 X-bows, and 2 archer towers protecting the town hall. There are also anti wall breaker builders huts compartments with teslas nearby, and funnels to deal with giants.

If they attack from the bottom, 50% should be easy with a good army, but getting 2 stars is hard. There are funnels to get rid of giants, and storages soak up damage.

2. The base

Here is the normal trophy hunting design. If I get good feedback, I might make a farming version.

Note: Gold is more protected in this version than elixir. If you want to protect elixir, switch it with the gold.

3. Battle logs

Here are the battle logs from around 1900 trophies. During the night, if I win the defense and don't get a shield, I often don't get raided again. This base won 2 defenses in a row, and got me to crystal while I was gone a few days ago.

Earlier defenses are at the bottom, and more recent defenses are at the top.

4. FAQ

Does this base work for clan wars?
Yes. I've used this base for 2 clan wars, and have only got attacked once. The attacker got 1 star with mass dragons (level 3).

Can I use this base?
Yes.

Are there any specific level requirements for defenses (eg. Level 6 mortars)?
The wizard towers by the town hall should be at least level 6, and your walls should be level 7.

Why are there some questions here that nobody asked?
I can see the future.

I like the concept but the town hall is relatively easy to get. Drop down a line of loons and minions and you have a 1 star.

Actually, it's a lot harder than it looks. In addition, people almost always attack from the bottom. I've been testing this kind of base, and around 85% of attacks are from the bottom.

That's probably because people want your loot more than your trophies. Those logs are ok for a th8 base, but in crystal 3 I would expect a th9 base to do much better.

Edit: A lot of those attacks are from gold 1, not even crystal.

Yes, I know that these were mostly from gold 1.

Even the clan war raid was from the bottom. I usually don't have much loot when I get raided.

Hi nath. Nice try you got there. But it looks really ugly, and easy to get those resources as well th too, not ideal base. Noob players will use this but the base like this cannot get the attention of non-noobs to use this one sorry mate but keep it up

Doesn't look hog proof to me though. if the clan castle is lure-able, 2-3 hogs to draw out everything and 30 hogs to clear the rest with 4 healing spells for support.

On first look though, I will lure from the north side near the Th and another 1-2 hogs on the south side for king/queen luring kill all the wandering troops and the rest will be history.

If you can find a way to prevent the troops from being lured too easily the rest is golden for you!!

I think the base is meant to look nooby --> it makes people attack and (hopefully!) fail.

sorry mate but you are thinking such a noob. Dont want to be mean but this base is not good as the description above. As a non-noob player here, i advice nath to do his best on making a base. Keep it up mate. :) experience is a must

I might make one soon. The problem is just the lack of defenses, so the town hall might be a bit easy to get.

The base isn't meant to look good. Just looking at the base isn't a good way to judge it. You can clearly see from the battle logs that it wins around half it's defenses, and very rarely gets 2 starred.

That actually looks good. I would close the big compartments though, as funnels would make 50% not too hard.
