Is there any hope??

So I made the mistake of going from TH 7 to TH 9 in about 4 days ( not counting building time obvi).

I have level 4 troops and my defense is mortars lvl 4, cannons lvl 6, wizard towers level 2 & 3 and so on and so forth. (Really Premature TH9.)

I've tried farming from all the way down to 800 trophies and now up to 1280 or so.

Ive tried full blown maxed out attacks to smash and grab cheap troop attacks. All end the same way, spending more on troops than what I get in return.

I know tons of people are having this problem and some seem to find their way out but it seems like all I'm doing as keeping the same amount of loot or losing it due to lack of even reasonable matches.

I had come to terms with the situation until Clan Wars started and I want to be able to, at least, research troops and upgrade my lab but trying to loot the amount is impossible unless i want to get to 1,000,000 E in increments of 10,000 which is nothing but a waste of time.

The glaring thing I have noticed is that I rarely get matched up with a TH9 on a normal raid so most of my opponents come with the huge loot penalty which results in a waste of troops.

My fear is that almost everyone who still plays C o C knows to camp around Th 7-8 and leaves me and other people left to wallow.

I'm assuming my trophies are too low to even have a chance to get a L 9 TH to gain some loot on. But I cant even win attacks to get my trophies up because I run out of training money after 2 raids.

Im just hoping for some advice or maybe I just need to accept the fact that I will forever be stuck where I am, living off resource pumps and drills along with War Bonus money.

And BTW, I truly feel sorry for the people who actually spent money on this game that are in my similar position.

I can take the good or bad news so please lay it out there for me.

Ya a lot of people have this problem. But you are saying you make no troops profit, do you mind sharring your troop composition? I would try barch if i was at your place, its really unexpensive ;)

I think once you get rolling you'll be fine, especially when the abandon bases start showing up again. If people insist on rushing their town hall I always advise to not go past th 8 because that's when the situation gets tricky, just keep at it and you'll be alright.

Well, I have 170 capacity.
My favored mix is as follows with the level behind the name:

11 Giants lvl 4
11 Wall Breakers 4
5 Wizards 3
1 Healing Fairy 1
6 Hog Riders 1
And split the rest between Level 4 Archers and Barbs.

I have Dragon and Valkyrie unlocked, but between cost and lack of funds I tend to no use them.

I have Level 2 healing spell and Rage spell I also use.

I will usually go with 2 healing spells and 1 Rage for my attacks, but again, I only use those in Clan Wars because of the E they cost, and the lack I get in return from a normal raid.

You're just going through growing pains. The transition between TH8 and 9 is so wide that you hate your life for 2 months. Queen and Xbows will eat you up day after day. And then you hit your stride. It's probably somewhere between Hog rider and maxed out Healer. Enjoy the misery for now.

And the sad thing is I never had a loot issue until LV 9 upgrade and that's when I began searching on the web for help, and then realized what mistake I had make.

When I went to upgrade to TH 9 is said there would be a loot penalty, and I was ok with that, but I had no idea it would at a 75% clip on the people I had the same TH level as 20-25 days ago counting building time.

I did the same thing and struggled a bit. Then I started this combination. 12 giants. 8 wall breakers. And the rest archers. And at least 2 lightning spells. Take out mortar on far side of village you plan to attack and then send giants after the close one. Then just unleash chaos with all those archers. Keep in mind too. If someone leaves collectors outside walls and they are full....sometimes you can get 20k+ elixir with just one archer per collector if the archer can stay outside of defense range.
