New possible additions to Clan Wars. These are my first ideas on this incredible update. By far the most interesting in Clash of Clans history.
I am in the middle of a second war with my clan and I had the following ideas for future updates.
- Duration of the war: I would like an option to set up characteristics of the war like its duration. It could be set up just after finding an opponent or just before launching the search. A war of 2 days is perfect timing for most but for certain clans or time of the year, some clans may need to make it last longer so everyone can get involved. We should be able to do so subject to approval from the other clan. 2days/3days/4days.
Prep day should always be 1 day max.
- Number of clanmates participating: Let’s face it not everyone will always want to be part of a war. Sadly. Some players will argue that they are farmers, some others that they didn’t have the time to connect during prep day etc. All of this can be understood because in a clan leitmotiv varies from a player to another. So why not leaving an option when searching for war to search for clans who want to match up 25 members only although having 50 members in clan? It would not unbalance the war because only willing players will be part of it. No fuzz, no flames and only happy bunnies. Leaving also possibilities for to make a war more often without having to wait for all members to participate. I would use it to make a full war per season and more casual one with less members each week.
- It has been mentioned many time but I would actually like to have the option to save layout OR to send a designed layout directly to clan war map without having to use it in multiplayer game.
- Why having to wait?
* Prep day timing: one full day before everyone is ready? Please give a button to ‘lock’ our village layout when done. Once everyone in the clan has locked his village and received troops in their war clan castle then the war start immediately. I think a reward for this would be nice. If you finish prep day in 12hours, you should have 12 more hours to attack. Faster prep day = more wars.
* War: when every single players have finished their two attacks let’s just finish the war.
- Bonuses: I basically think we could spice up some of the strategy by giving additional bonuses in war.
I would give a special bonus points/stars in the following cases:
* First point/attack: the first attacker to give a point to his team wins an extra point for the team. It would encourage players to log in quickly.
* Fierce player: One bonus star for the most difficult village on the war map. Because if he’s the most difficult player to attack. Giving an extra point would make it more interesting to go for it so could greatly impact the war and strategy...
* Leader is down… if someone 3 star the leader of the clan -not the co-leader(s)- he gets awarded with a special star for the clan because an army without a leader is not the same army and the symbol for taking him down should be acknowledge.
- Bonuses: I would give a special loot bonus in the following cases:
* All members/elders/co-leaders and leader have participated at least once in a war? It gives a special loot bonus if the clan win the war.
* My Safe is indeed safe... is it? Defense is as important as attack but i would give benefit for it. I would rewards best defense too by additionnal loot bonus. If no opponent player has been abble to 1 star your village then you win an extra loot bonus for keeping you loot... safe.
- Did someone said Hog Rider?
* Could we get a war result with filters so we can filter by the number of stars, loot gained by players.
* I would like to have the MVP somewhere.
* One player went to get one last star to make his team win? He won 6/6 stars overall? Another one won 3 stars but to players with 1 or 2 higher lvl TH? These needs to be recognized.
These are just ideas.
Feel free to challenge them.
