Create a gem vault or treasure box to prevent unwanted loss of gems

Have some of your gems mysteriously disappeared? Did you accidentally tapped the screen and lost gems? You're not alone, join the millions who did. I bet that most complaints that preoccupy staffers (not counting swear words) are about lost gems. I did it many times and all my clan members did it many times as well. I can honestly admit that, most likely, the mysterious gem loss was from natural causes including pressure on cover (1st generation iPad), static electricity next to screen, etc. This causes a lot of frustration with the game.
My suggestion is to create a vault feature. A player will click on the gem and an option to vault the gems will drop down. If the player selects yes, then a vault icon goes over the gem next to the counter. If a player chooses to use a gem while the vault is closed, a message pops up "you must first unlock the vault before you can use your gems" an arrow can appear over the gem to show new players how to unlock/lock the vault. This will greatly improve the game satisfaction level. Thanks!

Really? No offense but this is sort of a useless feature. If you mis-tap and use gems, that isn't supercell's problem. Also, static electricity near your screen should have nothing to do with spending gems accidentally as the screen on an ipad (1st gen) is designed to only let fingers (no gloves or coating) to interact with the screen.
