Can't log in except on random occassions

Since the new 3.54 update, I have not been able to connect with the server, despite that my wifi is working well.
I want the "silky smooth" log in back. Maybe this rolling blackout is due to not enough server capacity on your end? I would love to log in more frequently than on the off chance, once a day.

Decorations! Change FAIL!!!
Usability improvements!
✔ Players now have an option to move multiple wall pieces at one time. Yay!
✔ Troops can be deployed near obstacles, so no more getting lost in a sea of flags. This include the hidden space your Tesla leaves!
✔ A new laboratory screen lets you browse available upgrades even while an upgrade is already in progress.
✔ Ever wondered how much loot can you get from single players levels? Well now you can find out, just by tapping the map.
✔ The Battle Results screen now shows your loot with spaces between numbers (100 000 instead of 100000).
✔ A handy total destruction percentage is now included in the battle log.
✔ If a Barracks is being upgraded, its queued troops no longer count towards the "Troop capacity after training" count in the Barracks' training screen.
Since everyone has complained about every other thing except this one (at least from what ive seen from scanning 20 Pages or so) I will add it to the mix.
I wrote an email to SC to complaint about this change. This is their response:

Although your team may have not predicted how the decorations would be used it does not imply that other members would not see the benefit, unintentional as it may have been. Many including myself have purchased these decoration for the benefits it provided. Should you conduct a poll and ask how many members with decorations would have bought them if they served no purpose other than to "improve the visual aspect" I am confident that most would answer "No". For this reason I ask that you permit users who have purchased decorations to sell them back at 100% refund if only for a weeks time.

I feel cheated out of hrs of gaming that it took to buy all those decorations, which now serve no purpose. Some used gems (i.e real money) for them. I would like to find out how many other members are annoyed with this change and beleive SC should do something to rectify this. If they are intent on keeping the change I suggest they allow us to sell the decorations for more than just 10%, everything else is 50%! But considering the nature of why I'm looking to sell them then I'd like to see 100% refund even if it's only for a week. It's my first post so I'm not sure how to do it or even if I can, but how do I start a poll? I bet most would agree with me that they wouldn't have bought the decorations.
